INTRODUCTION
There is no doubt about the fact that the activities which are being conducted by
human beings have a major effect on the climate change problem which is destroying
the natural environment at a major pace currently. The problem of climate change is
very difficult to solve due to the complex nature of problems which contribute towards
the change which involves corporate activities and the carbon footprints being let by
humans. In order to study and counter climate change, one must also make use of
reflective practice and this report will involve the reflection on the bibliography
developed earlier regarding climate change using models such as John’s model of
reflection.
TASK
REFLECTION
There are various factors that affects climate change. It is important to take corrective
measures in order to to minimise environmental damage. It is our duty to protect
environment and not to overuse natural resource. Before this module, I was not aware
about environmental conservation and how human activities are responsible for climate
change. In this module, I have studied about various factors that impacts on
environment and cause climate change.
ï‚· Source 1 - By this source, I have come to know thyta there are various health risk
with climate change. There are various human activities which are responsible
for climate change. Many companies flush their waste effluents in water and it
leads to water pollution. Big companies produce smoky and carbon pollution
which leads to air pollution and become a major reason for climate change. This
carbon pollution is dangerous to human health and invites many vital diseases
like asthma and lungs cancer. So it is important to minimise business operations
in order to protect environment.
ï‚· Source 2 - By this source I get insights of importance of renewable energy. There
are many companies which are opting renewable source to energy in order to

carry out business operations. Solar energy is beneficial as it minimise
dependency on power grid. This will help companies in reducing overall cost.
There are various method by companies can reduce impact on climate change
such as opting sustainability and it has been summarised in (SEEP). This source
helped me in getting knowledge of renewable energy solution and how they can
positively impact on company's operations. Rapidly increased pollution is on of
the most important factor in climate change. In this module, I have gained
knowledge about environmental pollution and the ways by which it can be
reduced in order to reduce climate change. People have to think about negative
aspects of climate change and how it an negatively impact on human health.
ï‚· Source 3 - By this source I have gained knowledge of climate change in
agriculture sector and how climate change affect production of crop. Climate
change may affect supply chain too and in some areas of country, supply of food
can be disturbed. So it is important to take necessary steps in order to minimise
effect of climate change. There are various societies and cultures which are
affected due to climate change. So it is needed to provide new solutions so that
this issue can be addressed.
 Source 4 – There are various climate change policies which companies have to
comply with in order to minimise effect of climate change. It is important to follow
laws and legislations so that negative impact of climate change can be
eliminated. After completion of this module, I have come to know about import
and export portfolios along with trade impacts are needed to be taken into
consideration while formulating strategies for climate change strategies and
action plans. It is important to formulate effective strategies in order to control
carbon pollution of various industries. It is needed for companies to study climate
policies and to operate business in such a manner that it do not affect
environment harshly. Trade regulations must be understand for smooth
functioning of business.
ï‚· Source 5 - By this source, I have come to know that there are various social
norms and their affects in changing climate by their actions. Some of the norms

involves product reuse routine, disposal routine and buying behaviour. The more
a customer buy product, more he impact on climate change.
John Model of Reflection
While working on this module, I found John’s reflection model more appropriate
as it encompasses all essential reflection details which are needed to be drawn. It
mostly cover every aspect of reflection that I have learned during this module. I have got
insights about climate change along with its factors. Following are the phases of john’s
model of reflection.
ï‚· Phase 1 -It is the initial phase of this module in which I have got an overview of
what I am going to learn. This module was new for me and have not any
knowle3de about climate change and how it can affect lives of humans. I am
having fear of failure at the starting of this module.
ï‚· Phase 2 -While working on this module, I want to be at number one but I need
path by which I can attain success. I have formulated an action plan and
strategies so that I can effectively manage my time between personal and
academic life. It was new for me but my time management skill worked well. This
help me in scheduling time of this module so that I can revise my module for
effective learning. This helped me in effective learning and improves knowledge
of various skills. I have faced many challenges but with the help of my teachers I
have got insight of getting information. They have advised me to take help of
various journals and articles over internet. This approach worked with me pretty
well. As I was working with my peers, so we have conducted group discussion
which helped me a lot. As this topic is new for them also so they are also facing
problems but group study helps un in getting clarity as well as shares knowledge
with each other. This also helps in establishing healthy relationship among my
peers. As I was nervous to this topic, but as I have read articles and journals on
climate change, I got clarity and creates interest in this topic. I have come to
know that how human actions and behaviour affects climate change. As I can
feel that my colleagues were also facing same problem which can be seen in
their behaviour and in group study.

ï‚· Phase 3 -In this face I have come to know that there are various factors that
affects climate change. One of the major reasons as to why climate change has
kept on going from strength to strength despite the best efforts of global
economies is that the harmful emissions which rise the temperatures are being
emitted by all major businesses. I have also come to know that CO2 is produced
by human activities which is highly responsible for global warming. According to
a research, in 2020 its concentration has risen to above 48% as compare to
1975. There are various gases that are emitted by human activities but in smaller
quantities. One of the most powerful gas is Methane but due to its shorter
atmospheric lifetime, it is less harmful. Different causes which are responsible for
rising emission. There are various manufacturers which burns coal, oil and gas in
order to operate their business functions. They do for generating more profit but
along with it, they also harm environment and negatively impacts on climate
change. Machinery emits high carbon pollutants in air which declines quality of
air. In this module, I have also get insight of deforestation and how it can be
responsible for climate change. Rapid cutting down of trees may lead to climate
change. When people cut down trees, the carbon stored inside tree is released
and thus leads to greenhouse effect. The other variable in greenhouse effect is
increased livestock farming. When animals digest food, they produce methane
gas which is equivalent to poison. Various fertilisers containing nitrogen produce
nitrous oxide emission. I have also come to know that climate change can occur
quite frequently if one uses sources of fossil fuels quite rapidly which has been
happening worldwide for a long time now. Cities are majorly contributors in
climate change. According to research, cities consumes most of energy and
produce more than 55% of greenhouse effect.
As I was working with this module, there are various factors tat affects my decision
making such as my knowledge and skills. I have different perception about climate
change and applied in decision making. But when I have studied journals and articles
on climate change, my decision were changed and provides me valuable information. I
have consulted with my teachers too after collecting information from internet and for
that my teachers appreciate me for putting hard work while working on this project.

Information which I have collected is valuable for me as it widen my horizon of
knowledge about climate change.
 Phase 4 – In this phase, I have analysed my learning and come to know that in
some areas I am lacking which needs to be improved. I will fix those gaps so that
will not face any negative outcomes in future. I can effectively manage such
encounters smoothly by taking corrective decisions. This will help me in getting
more productive as well as efficient. I have many options to take help but I
choose digital technol0ogvby as it is cheapest, user friendly and have all relevant
information related to my topic. This helped me in getting insight of various
information from which I was not aware earlier. It is important to have this
knowledge which makes this module more effective. I have got clarity on some
topics by which I am faded before this module.
ï‚· Phase 5 -In this phase. I have got learned many applications of climate change
and how it is important to preserve environment in order to minimise human
efforts which leads to climate change. I will try my best and apply this learning to
make better environment. This module helped me in understanding about climate
change and ways by which it can be minimised. I have got experience by this
module and improved my understanding about climate change and its impact on
human life. As I have alternative choices but after deeply analysing I have
chosen digital technology which helped me in in getting information which is
required to accomplish this module. This experience changed my knowledge
about climate change and will transform this approach to protect or minimise
environmental impact.
Recommendation
This module helped me a lot in getting insight about climate change and how
they can be minimised. There are various internet sources of internet that helped me in
getting relevant info about this topic. Apart from profit making, companies have to take
essential steps to conserve environment and must not overuse natural resources. They
must not exploit resources for sake of profit making. They should formulate effective
strategies in order to minimise impact on climate change. Businesses also have to show

more commitment towards sustainability as customers are preferring eco-friendly
brands over polluting ones and it has been needed to keep business operations
sustainable so that it can attract potential customer and maintain feasible position in
market. The other step can be taken to minimise impact of climate change is by opting
solar panels. It will help company in reducing cost and make process more effective. It
reduces dependency on power grids and makes companies sustainable. Companies
have to opt electric vehicle and transportation to deliver good to their customers. It will
reduce carbon emission and makes environment clean. It is important to take step to
minimise cut down of trees. It is needed to make people aware about importance of
planting trees and how deforestation can lead to climate change. Conserving and
planting trees makes air pollution and reduce impact of carbon emission of factories and
vehicles. People have to understand how negative climate change is and address ways
by which its impact can be minimised. Factories emits carbon pollutants which makes
air polluted. This reduces air quality and becomes reason for various lungs and
respiratory diseases. Companies do not have to overuse resources and there should be
optimum utilisation of resources. By having electric vehicles, it will reduce carbon
emission and makes environment pollution free. Companies have to upgrade to latest
technology which will emit less effluents along with less wastage of resources. This
module helped me in gaining information about climate change and I have taken help of
internet sources and articles to get relevant information for this project. It makes me
more knowledgeable as I have studied.
CONCLUSION
The above report went into detail regarding the way in which climate change has gone
unanswered for so long that it has become a necessity to analyse its impact on the
various dimensions of everyday life to devise measures to effectively counter it over a
long period of time. The report featured a detailed bibliography which featured a diverse
list of sources which ranged from effects of climate change in human health all the way
