Statement of Purpose
Throughout my entire academic career, I had to perceive a special interest in Science and
Environment while I was studying for my secondary education. The knowledge I acquired
while studying science enlightened me and reinforced my interest in science. I began to had a
lot of doubts in my mind but there were very few solutions to those doubts. In my
undergraduate course, the knowledge I acquired gives me more information about the need
for alternative fuel in the world. This will not only help to preserve energy for the future
generation but also will help in maintaining a healthy environment.
I want to study more in my graduate course to acquire more precise and detail knowledge
about the production of renewable fuel. I am planning to complete my Ph.D. in Energy and
Production of alternative fuels from a reputed university. My ultimate goal of my career is to
produce or develop a renewable or alternative fuel which will be eco-friendly and sustainable.
This fuel will fight against the problems like the scarcity of fossils fuels, pollution and the
dangerous side effects of nuclear energy.
I am very keen on acquiring all the relevant information, technologies, education in my
graduate course which will help me in achieving the career goal of my life. After completing
my Ph.D. I want to work for the development of the energy sector of my country as the
energy crisis is going to become a major issue in the upcoming years. I want to prepare
myself mentally to develop alternative energy and fuel for the betterment of the country.
Its was always my passion to work something for the betterment of the environment. I had
done a few numbers of research which helped me in understanding the real scenario about the
energy in the world. During my, undergraduate course, I had done research by assessing the
consumption of energy (heat and electrical) of the University’s campus and how demand is
met. This research helped me to understand the format of a research in a small area. During
these years I had done research on evaluating the energy storage options considering round
trip efficiency and storage capability.
I also developed a linear model in Ms. Excel which optimizes the minimum cost of renewable
energy and fuel. I didn’t stop there and do research for optimization for storage considered
scenarios such as arbitrage, triad avoidance, and intercessional heat storage. I had a research
work whose aim was to minimize the cost sidered the price of imports directly from the grid
and minimize the price of onsite power generation from CHP plants.
