Introduction
In the current business environmental sustainability brings the strong impact in case of
maintaining the economic as well as social standard in an organization (Fraj, Matute and Melero,
2015). Analyzing the emerging situation, it has been identified that due to lack of understanding
regarding the waste management process and ignorance of environmental protection act, the
improper utilization of resources is bringing negative impact on the organizational economy. The
purpose of the study is to shed light on different environmental issues faced by the companies
while operating in the market. By continuing this highlighting different environmental impact
measuring methods, its significant impact on the organizational growth has been highlighted.

Environmental complexity has become one of the important concerns for the
organizations in the current business scenario. Analyzing the environmental issues in an
organization it has been identified that due to improper waste management, higher amount of
economic loss has impacted on the growth of the organizations. By continuing this, it cannot be
denied that due to lack of knowledge regarding the carbon emission as well as improper
maintenance of environmental data, the environmental concerns get increased in the workplace
(Jones, Hillier and Comfort 2016). On the other hand, loss of resources, crisis of eater and food
can also bring the negative impact on business performance of an organization. Due to the
increasing numbers of environmental challenges in the workplace, it becomes challenging for the
companies to deal with the emerging situational challenges. Pollution has become one of the
important primary concerns in every organizations. Due to the improper waste management
initiatives as well as improper knowledge regarding the environmental wastage report, the

influencing factor that has brought impact on the organizational operational process.
In order to implement the environmental sustainability strategy, it is very important for an
organization to choose appropriate method so that the environmental concerns can be reduced.
In order to measure the environmental impact on business carbon footprints need to be
calculated. Analyzing the raising environmental concerns, it has been identified that it has also
brought the strong impact on Australian hospitality industry (Ibm.com 2019). Highlighting the
environmental impact on Australian hospitality industry, the operational functions as well as
specific characteristics of the company can be analyzed. Measuring the footprint from retail
location, land and structure, the lower use of energy can be ensured. Using different standard
measuring tools, it can be easier for the company to measure the environmental impact on
business. Developing different sustainable checklist, configure based common rating system can
prepare a proper assessment report. In order to measure the environmental impact on the

easier for the company to make the process autonomous that can help to maintain the industry
standard as well as energy performance regulations. The measurement can also be done based on

one of the popular environmental impact analysis tool in which is being used by the companies
in case of measuring the environmental performance with the proper utilization of resources. In

group presentation and CSR initiatives can be adopted by the hotel authority (Theguardian.com
2019). In order to increase awareness among the employees in the workplace, training and
development initiative can be beneficial. It is true that environmental concern has become
common in hospitality industry, however it is also true that due to lack of knowledge regarding
the situation handling process, it has become highly challenging to deal with the situation. In that
case, arranging a training program for sharing the knowledge and skill s regarding the operations
of energy star metrics and others environmental sustainability measuring tools, the internal
efficiency can be increased. On the other hand, group presentation can also play an important
role for ensuring the employee engagement in case of dealing with the emerging challenges
faced by the company.

important for the company to propose an effective monitoring plan in which the individuals’
engagement as well as their interest towards he activities can be increased (Epstein, 2018). In
case of hospitality industry, it has been identified that due to increasing population pressure on
the destination areas and increasing commercialization, people have started avoiding the
importance of natural resources (Welford 2016). On the other hand, due to excessive utilization
of natural as well as anthropogenic resources, environmental sustainability has become the
important concern. In order to ensure the sustainability in the organization, it is very important
for the company to identify the areas in which the improvement is needed. In case of analyzing
