INTRODUCTION
Sustainability is the life blood for act of balance in the environment. It works in the
direction of maintaining balance between all the activities of human as well as environment. This
research includes about the what are effects of pharmaceuticals on the environment (Bryman, A.,
2015). What are its positive and negative impacts and what are the methods which can resolve
the negative impacts.
MAIN BODY
Methodology for searches of the academic literature and other sources.
It is very important for an individual to go in depth of the topic and understand
everything which is related to it. Research methodologies helps in gathering all the information
or data which is required by the person to conduct the research on some topic.
Research design
It is method by which the study or research can be conducted in the manner which is
logical (Creswell and Creswell, 2017). Many tools can be used to conduct this research like
exploratory, experimental and descriptive. Fort learning the effects of pharmaceuticals
descriptive tool is used. It will give all the important information which is needed for the
effective study.
Research approach
This method of research methodologies is very good in investigation process of study
(Yin, 2013). It contains two types which are deductive and inductive (Research approach, 2015).
Inductive method is used for this research.
Data collection
It helps to find correct and accurate information or data about the topic. It also includes
two types of data which are primary and secondary (Richey and Klein, 2014). Secondary data or
information is used in this study.
Research philosophy
It gathers all the information about the topic in effective manner which are needed to
conduct the research. It includes two methods for the study which are positivism and
interpretivism (Bryman, 2015). Positivism is used in this study to conduct the research in
objective point of view.

Summary of research findings and critical analysis.
Pharmaceuticals are the products which are used by the people for betterment of heaths.
These products are human drugs, metformin.
Effects of pharmaceutical on environment
Use of pharmaceutical products had increased very much in the recent years because of
health problems in the world.
ï‚· Many harmful chemicals are used in making these products which is not at all good for
the environment (The risks of environmental effects of pharmaceutical and medicinal
products, 2017).
ï‚· Water is getting deteriorated by drugs which contains chemical.ï‚· Many drugs are dangerous which can cause harm to life of human beings in the
environment. These drugs are used by the person from 50 to 150 grams per year.
Positive and negative impacts of pharmaceuticals
According to the author Lindberg and et.al., (2014) there are many positive and negative
impacts of the drugs and metformin. The positive impacts are that health of human beings get
well easily by using these drugs. They feel satisfied by the quick effect of these drugs.
There are many negative impacts of pharmaceutical products. They are very harmful for
the environment (The environmental side effects of medication, 2015). Some dangerous drugs
can cause harm to life of human beings if not taken in the proper amount.
Methods to resolve the effect of pharmaceutical products
There are many ways by which negative effect of the human drugs can be reduced. EU
can make some legislation which will control the use of harmful chemicals in the pharmaceutical
industry. By giving training to the doctors which for making them understand the amount which
should be given to the human beings. Effects of the drugs can be written on their packets which
will make the people to know about the dose which they should take.
Critical analysis
By using the methods of research methodologies it is found that consumption of
pharmaceutical products has been increased very much by the humans. It also affects the
environment in negative way more than positive impacts. There are companies in UK which are
from pharmaceutical industry. They make many drugs or products for the people of country.
These organisations contain 69.5% of the revenue in the recent years. There are many

legislations which are made in the country for making the human drugs. 90 top companies are in
UK who are working in this industry and give the major revenue which eventually help the GDP
of country.
Literature review
According to the author Lindberg and et.al., (2014) human drugs which are produced in the
country should be authorised by the government. Licence should be hold by the owner of
company who is dealing in this direction. It is found that around 2674 drugs or metformin are
used by the 337 patients. It is increasing day by day in the country. 95% of people in UK are
taking pharmaceutical products of human drugs and metformin. Mainly female population is
found taking these products. On the other hand author Margalida and et.al., (2014) says that 81%
of the female population are found with the prescription of metformin. These drugs are taken by
them mainly because of diabetes and 7.6% for the treatment of fat and obesity. It is also studied
that these human drugs are also taken by the people of young age from 0-18 years. These
products are very harmful for their health. These are some data and information about the usage
of pharmaceutical products which are human drug metformin in UK. Government of the country
is working for getting the solution for this problem.
This research will be very helpful for me in taking precaution in the future in taking these
human drugs. It will also help in professional life.
CONCLUSION
This research concludes that there are many effects of pharmaceutical effects on the
environment. It can be either positive or negative. On the other hand negative impacts are more
than the positive one because the products of pharmaceutical industry contains some harmful
chemicals which are not at all good for the human beings. Many solutions can be made to resolve
this problem. Legislations can be made to control the working of organisations which are
working in the direction of supplying human drug metformin. Using chemical in these products
should also be controlled at some level. In the present years the supply of pharmaceutical
products has been increased very much mainly in the female population of UK. This study states
that sustainability can be achieved through controlling the use of human drug metformin.
