 Attractions such as savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain
highlands.
 Home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos etc.
 Amboseli National Park, offering views of Tanzania and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
 Ocean for trust is a charity firm working for conserving the ocean life of sea animals.
 Turtles are mostly affected by the increasing interaction with humans.

Definition of Sustainability
 Sustainability in terms of development refers to the development through which the
present needs of the people can be met without compromising with the ability of future
generations in meeting their own needs.

Thesis and Concerns
 Local Ocean trust is a charity firm who is working for the protection of turtles which are
endangered due to the increasing tourism activities. The visitors when travelling to sea,
put their waste in sea which is consumed by the sea animals and they get negatively
impacted.
 The business is giving its maximum contributions for protecting these animals mainly
turtles (How tourism is taking the turtles out from Kenya, 2011).
 These concerns are discussed below in context of harming the turtles and more tourism
activities in Sea.

The economical concerns are as follows:
 Low capital from tourism activities
to government
 Decreasing brand image of country
which can impact the tourists
behaviour in visiting the country.
 Negative impact on turtles sellers
who sells them for food purpose in
terms of reduced sales and profit.

 Unethical treatment of animals which is
because of the torture of animals for fun
activities and entertainment of humans.
 Providing unwanted food to animals which
can affect the health of the animals.
 Sea pollution which effect the animals in
breathing and cause the death of animals in
sea which is also increasing the pollution in
the sea.

The environmental concerns are as follows:
 Damage to seafloor/ grasses due to the plastic
and other wastages done by humans.
 Entrapment of animals for human
entertainment which is negatively impacting
the brand image of country.
 Effects on animals with close, frequent human
interactions which can even harm the animals
as well as humans.

CONCLUSION
 Tourism can sustain in Kenya by joint efforts from the ocean trust and local people.
 The turtles needs to be saved in order to improve the image of Kenya among tourists
 Also country can attracts more visitors if the animals and natural resources are conserved
for future.
 The government should abolish the ill treatment of animals for entertainment purpose.
