KILIMANJARO’S RETREAT
The ice fields of the Kijimanjaro has shrunken. Only a few glaciers are left which will
disappear by 2020 because of global warming. Scientist believes that the loss of the ice has
increased to its double since the last ten years. The sea ice of the Arctic Circle will disappear
soon. It will lead to the severity of weather conditions like drought, floods in the future. The
storm Katrina in 2005, is one such example that the world will face in the future.
CONSENSUS
Sun rays coming into the earth must be equal by the amount of energy that is going back.
The greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide disturb the balance. These
additional energies are raising the temperature of the earth; the greenhouses mainly emits from
industries. If any policies are implemented, it will directly affect the industries as well as the
global capital.
CONFIDENCE GAME
The temperature of the earth is constantly increasing. The temperature has increased to
about .08 Celcius since the last century. Indication of the warming of the earth is observed
through the huge difference in temperature between the summer and winter, day and night.
Global warming will lead to extraordinary events that will be having great intensity among the
citizens.
BACK CASTING
The changes in the intensity of the radiation of the sun is another cause of global
warming. Evidence state the greenhouse gases are responsible for the cause. Some scientists
believe that global warming will have great benefits. Some business companies have started to
plan their business according to the benefits of it. The possibility of the bad effect of global
warming is more and precautions must be taken accordingly.
MOMENTUM FEEDBACK
Dependence on emissions has increased; therefore, depending on the older outputs
becomes difficult. The CO2 will result in a rise in 8 degrees Celsius in Asia. There is certainly
positive feedback regarding the effects of global warming. If those are considered then the
efforts for preventing it will never be initiated.
WALKING TOWARDS A CLIFF
Concern about the climate is important because a sudden change in the climate can result
in great difficulties. The example of the loss of the cod fishery leading to the decline in the
economy of Canada is considered here. The other fishes get highlighted and bring the economy.
The negative aspects must be considered, and strategies must be implemented to prevent it
accordingly.
FRAYED NETWORK
Global warming is affecting natural species and the ecosystem. One thousand plant and
animal species got extinct because of its effect. It destroys the ocean phytoplankton for about 6

percent. Pollinators such as bees, wasps butterflies seem to decline. Climate changes such as the
population, pressure, shortages of energy are also related to it.
