INTRODUCTION
The interaction between societies and their environment can be provided by using the
concept of environment sociology (Karim and Rashid, 2017). In this report the various concepts
regarding resource depletion, global warming, waste and pollution will be discussed. This report
will also examine solution regarding the concepts of waste and pollution at local, national or
global level.
Concepts
Resource depletion
It is the utilization of resources faster than it can be replenished. At an increasing-rate
humans are depleting the resources of earth (Næss, 2016). The sewage and sock efficient, the use
of fertilizers, pesticides and the oil leaked and spilled are degrading the natural resources of earth.
The deforestation can be one of the cause of resource depletion.
Global warming
The increase in temperature of the earth's surface at a faster rate in the record of history is
termed as global warming. The main cause of global warming is the emission of carbon dioxide
from various industries (Holden,2016). The greenhouses are also cause of global warming. These
gases are produced by human activities such as burning of fossil fuels .There can be rise in sea
level and the melting of ice and snow can be increased due to global warming.
Waste and pollution
The pollution generally makes the environment unsafe and unpleasant for human
beings, plants and animals. The more amount of waste is generated due to modern and
industrialized lifestyle (Næss, 2016). The serious problems for the human and environment can
be created due to solid, gaseous and liquid waste.
Solution to waste and pollution at various levels
In order to reduce the pollution, implement proper waste management the World Bank
group is working with developing countries. To improve the health of people the industrialized
countries such as UK are working to reduce the sue of smog, smoke and sulfur dioxide
(Dannefer, Kelley-Moore and Huang, 2016). The reusable bags and containers are used in order
to reduce the waste that is produced in the environment
