Personal Statement
This is in regard with my admission procedure through UCAS for the subject
Environment Studies in context to my undergraduate studies. It has become the burning issues in
current scenarios and I am personally interested in pursuing this. In recent times, with rise of
technological advancements and globalization, there is an enhanced scope in this sector and has
laid the platform to bring innovation and suitable modifications (Innes and et.al., 2018). I want to
fulfil my dream to bring sustainability factor in all the spheres of lives. Since my childhood, I
observed my surroundings and always tried to analyse the natural resources to understand their
workings and operational practices. For instance, I have always implemented techniques like
installing water-efficient devices like cistern displacement device to reduce the volume after each
flush and more. Thus, I want to design, plan and implement such sustainable objects after
studying environmental sciences.
On a more profound level, I believe that environment must not be refereed as the physical
surroundings but it is the gateway to improve the human interactions with nature. I believe that
after taking admission in this course, I would have the sound knowledge and an understanding to
review the in-depth evaluation to bring changes at wider scale. Along with this, I am a nature
lover and consider that this course would give me confidence in using my skills for upliftment of
the community on the whole. Additionally, I would like to incorporate my interest of maintaining
the environment in order to maintain a balance between the surroundings and establish myself as
an Environmentalist who contributed immensely to explore the resources.
