INTRODUCTION
Environmental sustainability define as the relation with the environment to reduce the
consumption of natural resources to improve the long term quality of the atmosphere (Rahman
and Zhang, 2018). The major issues associated with this is it affects the longer productivity of
the health, it is advised to the businesses to reduce their consumption of resources so that it can
be preserved for the future generation. Climate change another issue which can affect the
economy, it mainly comprises with the global issues which can be impact the whole ecological
system. This report covers the positive and negative impact of the environment sustainability on
the companies.
MAIN BODY
Positive effect of the environmental sustainability on companies:
It is important for the businesses to add sustainability factor as social, environmental or
economical factor in their strategic plan. It enables them to meet their sustainable goals as well
as promote the growth in economy. Meeting the sustainability means the maintaining the health
and bio physicality of the environment (Jaca and et.al 2018). Through which the company can
enter into the society by conducting the social event which aims to provide the employment to
the communal people for their personal growth as well as for the development of the society. For
an example if Tesco, Sainsbury, Mark and Spencer or other company can take the advantage to
add sustainability factor in their organizational strategy (Walsh and Dodds, 2017). It will enable
them to socialize with the community people for their brand promotion as well as for the
economic growth.
For the sustainability companies can approach to use the sustainable resources as wind,
solar energy for their operational task. To reduce the use of plastic and hard material for
packaging also proceed to use the recycled resources which also benefits their finance related
functionalities (Nguyen and Su, 2021). Therefore, environmental sustainability provide major
benefit in the business as customer always demands for the product which is organic so it will

enable the companies to follow this route to achieve their goals (Hysa and et.al 2020). It is
suggested to the companies to reduce their environmental impact to improve their business
sustainability. It also gives the competitive advantage to the organization, by effectively dealing
with the rising costs due to the changes in climate, it will also develop the long term growth for
their business. Therefore, Tesco, Mark and Spencer or other industries can take the advantage of
implementing the sustainability in their business (Danso and et.al 2020).
Negative impact of environmental sustainability on companies:
The main negative impact can be the expensive raw materials, by adapting sustainability can be
beneficial for the society or for economy but it negatively impacts on the finance resources of the
company (Bastas and Liyanage, 2019). It is difficult to foster the Eco-friendly changes
especially for the company if their work is demanding in such case it is nearly impossible for
them to improve their ecological footprints.
Required additional investment:
As to proceed with environmental sustainability organizations need to invest on other resources
which can affect their whole budget. As installing solar panels required some sort of money also
for other devices required maintenance as well as it requires the large initial investment. Organic
products are often expensive, as these are very beneficial for the health, but they are very
expensive (Ragazzi and Ghidini, 2017). Other drawback of the environmental sustainability can
be what if company invest on organic raw materials to design their product but customer deny to
make investment as those product are not available in affordable price (Breuer and et.al 2018).
Time consuming:
Installing bio friendly devices' consumer more time it requires more efforts what if the company
requires fast operation, then it should be loss in their productivity. For the companies like Tesco,
Sainsbury, Morrison their products are in demand therefore they invest on sustainability what if
the crises arise, and they are not able to make investment for the bio friendly product. In such
case it is lost in their revenues (Laukkanen and Tura, 2020).

CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that the environmental sustainability have major impact on
the human lives or ecosystem. As well as for the businesses' perspective it is important. This
report illustrated the environmental sustainability issues along with its positive and negative
impact on the businesses. The recommendation can be made as companies need to reduce their
excessive consumption of resources to protect it for the future generation. They can proceed to
adapt going green approach to reduce the carbon footprints in the atmosphere, or to adapt the
recycled product or to implement the green bio friendly devices to achieve the sustainable goals.
Going green can enable them to add competitive advantage in their work which is beneficial for
the company's business.
TASK 2
INTRODUCTION:
Reflective writing is the analytical practices which allows the individual to know about their
strength and weakness (Williams, Woolliams and Spiro, 2020). It helps to explain the real or
virtual things, self reflection enable to improve the weakness area or to learn from the experience
for the better performance. This report describes the reflective writing, and personal development
plan.
Reflective writing:
As per the module I have learned the as how the sustainability is important to achieve the
goals. My perception about the sustainability in the business is essential to gain the good market
position. I learn as how to adapt the changes fast for the better career, as to learn the things in
depth can allow to make the prediction on it which is helpful for carrying out any task
effectively. As environmental sustainability is very important I understand the whole concept for
my betterment it enables me to design the sustainable goals to proceed with or I have learned the
importance of sustainability (Ullmann, 2017). Therefore, from now I will try to do possible
things which is not harmful for the nature environment. Strategic management is the important

task which I have learnt it gives me the analysation as I am able to take the good decision for the
implementation of the strategy. Decision making is the skills which I need to work on for better
futuristic decisions. I also go through the time management skills as to manage the work
effectively which helps t complete the task on time.
Importance of learning:
Knowledge is very important to deal with any kind of circumstances, benefit of learning enables
the person to possess the required or essential knowledge to achieve the goals. The main aspect
of the learning process as it makes me able to develop or improve the skills for my successful
career. Learning new things is the good process as it is good for the brain activities which can
help to make improvement in the cognitive functionalities. From my perception it is good for
focusing on new things as it activate the brain which is helpful for adapting the things fast
(MacArthur, Koley and Wengel, 2021). As from the module I have learned lot of good things as
the benefit of the environmental sustainability as it helps me to set my desire goals or to allow
me to take good action on environmental consideration. During the learning process I have
always attentive and focused which increase my concentration level and also from this I am able
to understand the topic rapidly. Also during the lecture I worked in a team where me and my
team-mates shares the opinion which helps us to complete the project. I learn about the
leadership skills as to manage the team, during the project work one team-mate of our team was
not feeling comfortable then I help him out to make him understood about the topic which can
consider as good component of the leadership skills. Through this I deliver my message without
hesitation to my team as before I always feel that if I have made any mistake than other can
make fun of me. As in learning process tutor allowed me to share my doubts they also motivated
me to speak in front of everyone. Most of the time in debate activity I take part but I always
hesitate to speak, this is the area which is need to be improved.
