INTRODUCTION
An e portfolio is an evolving electronic or online resource that helps in recording, storing
and the information related contemplation and learning for an independent learner. An e portfolio
is a catalogue that illustrate the professional and personal growth of an individual. It also
demonstrate practices based on evidences and determine the areas for future development and
improvements (van der Schaaf and et.al., 2017).
AIM OF DEVELOPING E-PORTFOLIO
The main objective of this e portfolio is to keep an up to date and accurate record of the
entire nurse's career. Creating a professional nursing portfolio is an effective way to preserve
education, professional and clinical achievements. A professional portfolio is the documentation
of the professional achievements, skills and nursing experience. It helps nursing students to
reflect on their professional and clinical growth from the time of their admission and developing
short term and long term objectives or goals. Weebly is used as a platform for creating a e
portfolio (Cevik and et.al., 2018).
EMERGING ROLE OF E-PORTFOLIOS IN CAREER DEVELOPMENT
An e portfolio provides an opportunity to students for reflecting on their diverse and
unique approaches to learn and generate evidence of the employability skills values by graduate
employers that consist self management, digital literacy, innovation and creativity, problem
solving and communication etc (Händel, Wimmer and Ziegler, 2018). Developing an e portfolio
helps to support the preparation for academic application and professional interviews. It is a
unique method for sharing experience and skills.

E-portfolios have obtained strength as a tool to help nurses in managing their digital
identity, developing connections among their learning outcomes and experiences as well as
demonstrate their achievements to prospective employers (Encalada and et.al., 2017). Strategies
such as e-tools, display functions and tagging allow e-portfolios to support career development.

FRAMEWORK/THEORY TO ASSIST WITH REFLECTIVE JOURNALS
In order to reflect upon self learning, studies and achievements Gibbs reflective cycle is
selected as a framework. These reflection framework consist six stages including description,
feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. It helps to reflect effectively upon any
event, self or any occurrence (Cook, 2017). Another theory known as Patricia Benner's
Contribution to Nursing Theory will be used in the e portfolio.
