Cultural and behavioural expectations
of studying for a degree in business
management
Before studying for a degree in business management
there were various cultural and behavioural
expectations that were in the mind. Basically it
included language differences, teaching methods,
maintaining relation among teachers and their
teaching methods and how communication will be
established in effective manner or not. Sometimes
language creates a barrier between student and
teachers due to differences in culture and behaviour.
Culture involves attitudes and beliefs that guides the
behaviour of a person and that affects how it will
communicate through various teaching techniques. A
management degree comprises of various factors and
different teaching methods. Culture basically affects
how a student will behave why studying and how it
will understand the teaching methods and how it will
convey their teaching methods. Learning reflects in a
way that it allows learners to develop critical thinking
skills, and improving their performance through past
learnings and finding deviations. Culture impacts how
the students participate in a academic environment
and how they need to adapt its culture to
communicate with classmates and teachers. Self-
reflection helps In understanding how individual
learns and implicates. Self-learning also helps students
to be aware of their imperfections and manage it
accordingly. This also helps to critically examine their
grades and how far they achieved their goals and

performance. In order to ensure effective learning its
better to assign reflections during class time as this
will help in more enhancement of skills and
knowledge. Acquiring knowledge is very important as

and work life. It helps to gain

qualification. Also learning helps in

The importance of peer-to-peer
support and team working to enhance
learning experience
As a student, the peer-to-peer learning helped me to
exist and expand in workforce when they will join as
an professionals . IT helped me to be better team
player to work effectively and think out-of-the-box
ideas and approach single situation from various
views. It also helped to learn in an effective way of
formal and informal ways. Peer-to-peer learning
helped to start my student's journey and learn from
teachers through ways of exchanging ideas,
collaborations and sharing feedback. Peer-to-peer
learning helps to establish one-on-one connect as
education is always considered to be a social concept
and therefore learning through peers is a critical part
of teaching. It also helped in shifting from traditional
teaching methods to online teaching as use of
technologies helps students to push across boundaries
and take up new challenges as it also encourages
feedback and helped in studying in a active and

group study sessions, solving issues, attempting

better academic performance and better grades. Due
to covid, peer-to-peer learning helps to move
education to learning and provides a framework to
both students and teachers. It also promoted
teamwork and collaboration to gain knowledge and
making students capable of solving solutions without
the intervention of teacher. Under team working it
enhances the learning experience and all the students
work together to find answer of a particular problem.

Strength.- Learning helps in acquiring
new skills and traits. It serves as a
strong base to grow in academics
and career. It helps in various ways
and strengths various factors that
include management of time,
organization, imagination, curiosity,
critical thinking and creativity.
Learning helps students in overall
development and enhancing their
knowledge and skills in order to
achieve desired grades and excel
academically. It also enhances the
thinking capability of students and
help them grow in each stage of their

Weaknesses. Learning involves various negative
and positive aspects which also includes criticism
and if a student reacts in a negative manner the
process of learning may not be effective. Learning
process also involves frustration, poor skills,
inappropriate stress and poor time management.
Learning not only develop knowledge but may
cause negative impact on students in not taken in
positive way. Learning is very important aspect in
students life but this may weaken the students
capability to think and explore.

threats related to attendance,
inconsistency in student’s
education, peer pressure of
studies with lack of resources and
accountability of student and their
ownership. Threat might affect the
working of institution as lack of
attention from student’s side may
result in less productivity and
ineffective learning and may
affects the student ability to think
and progress in future. In addition
to that threat is not good for
neither student nor the teacher or
same goes with the working
environment.
