INTRODUCTION
E-portfolio defined as collection of work in electronic format that defines learning over
time (Tyler and Dibble, 2019). Additionally, portfolio can relate with specific academic field and
learning journey over the time. Henceforth, create, select and reflect the process and products of
learning.
The present report will based on challenges to reflect on Apprentice challenges,
presentation challenges, T-shirt challenge and hotel challenges. Also, reflection will be
conducted on skills with use of model and theories. Lastly, action plan will be framed to develop
and improve skills.
MAIN BODY
Reflection on challenges.
Apprentice challenge-:
In this i was given a challenge of providing training to other students in class. The business
angle included in this was . In addition to this, I have divided my whole time effectively so that
goals can be accomplished. Team needs to have creative, understanding the needs of customer,
staying with budget etc. each In this, I have idea about apprentice programme to enhance their
communication skill and to inspire teams to come with the creative ideas. Therefore, as student
trainer , I have seen number of the challenges while I directed them about the employability
skill. Thus, one of the major challenge I have encountered with was cultural issue. I have found
that there were lot of students who comes from different background. Sometimes, it becomes
difficult to make the things understandable for them. In this, I have find out that interaction is
crucial to learn and enhance skills of individuals. I have trained them to enhance employability
skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork etc. On of the major challenges, I have
encountered is that there were students who have different language and cultural issues. Hence,
this impacted on my role. Due to this, I have started to make interaction with each student
personally so I could identify their issues. After analysing their issues, I came to know that I
needs to improve my communication and interaction skill. So, I can able to communicate and
interact with each one properly. I learned that HR play vital role in providing training and
conducting apprentice program.

Communication skill- This is one of the crucial skill that i demonstrated in this challenge.
(Fidalgo and Thormann, 2019). These bother skill aid me to undertake the things in effective
manner. As much I Know, I have good communication skill but that needs to be improved more
to handled the working in more appropriate way. This skill has helped me to do the things in
appropriate and coordinated manner. To work with other effectively, this is crucial to have the
ability to recognize the emotions and to understand the feelings and label them appropriately. To
manage emotional one must have effective control on think and behaviour. I have analysed that I
am good in emotional intelligence but sometimes in high work pressure I made devastated result
as I use to get negative. So, I must say that I need to work on it so that I can have better
communication and emotional intelligence skill to support my future course of action
appropriately.
What do you learn from the challenge in terms of personal development
From challenge i learned that i need to control my emotions so that i do not get angry easily. This
will help me in understanding emotions of people. I will be able to analyse my emotions and
where i have to use them. Thus, it will highly help me in my career growth and keeping my mind
on control in critical condition.
Presentation challenges-:
In the class i was given a presentation challenge in which i have make presentation in a team.
This presentation was on topic of the branding so that profitability and productivity can be
generated. ( Powell, Freeman and Kahn, 2019) I have never done this kind of task before that
what this one was challenging for me. As presentation is an art that needs preparation and
practice. Thus, major challenge while making presentation was to choose the content that will
go with the slides. Therefore, the second challenge I have faced is to search for the making
interesting data so that presentation can be more effective and efficient. Hence, third challenge I
have faced was to make segmentation of the information in digestible ways. Hence, in that
presentation I have also added the survey report on the products. So, we conducted a survey, I
have lot of issues in selecting people and gather their valuable feedback. This steps was crucial
as this helps to enhance the trust of audience. For undertaking survey, I was also involved so that
survey can be collected with large number of audience. This was also time consuming process
but also has helped us to make the whole process attractive. With help of this, I have made

presentation that can be supportive to improve branding and to attract the customers. I have used
photos, graph, table, etc and statistic view of the data.
Skills
Teamwork- while working in this challenge i found that team -working is one of effective way
to get the desired result on time ( Rahim and Ali, 2019). I have analysed that I am able to
leading a team properly but I also need to focus on my lacking area so that I could get this
improve. I have analysed that I faced major issues at time to deal with the members so that I can
able to manage them properly. During multiple task I used to get irritated so fast and this affect
the overall productivity of my team. So, I got to know that I need to improve my team working
skill so that my entire can perform effectively.
What do you learn from the challenge in terms of personal development
In terms of personal development i think that it is necessary to work in team so that desired
outcome are attained. While working in team it allows each one to contribute. Also, complex
tasks are easily done. Moreover, for growth team working skills need to be effective and
efficient. I need to enhance this skill so that i am able to work in professional way and can easily
work in any team.
T-shirt challenge- :
During an activity on class we were given a t shirt challenge. In this we have to made a
design on t shirt and sell it to other students. So, in this I have faced a lot of challenges and the
major challenge was design. In this present era, the like and dislike of the people keep changes.
We have complete with help of the latest design so that this can attract people. Out of all this,
one of the major issues I have faced was to deal with design. That what design should be printed
on t shirt, its size, etc. In this challenge, we have focussed towards quality results. Thus, quality
is one of the crucial parameter in T-shirt challenges. Afterwards, we have undertaken the data
and info to know that what type of trend people prefer the most so that we can get idea to add

tag lines and prints on T-shirts. To get ready the T-shit in just short span of time we have divided
the whole task within team. We were 10 people in team so have made 4 and each team was
having 2 members. Hence, we have selected one theme to design and print T-shirt and work
accordingly. This has helped me to accomplish goal before the deadline. Lastly, we finally
overcome with this challenges of T-shirt and we have made all work before the deadline date
comes.
Skills
Time management and meeting skill- here, i evaluated that time management is one of the
crucial skill to manage the working operations in streamlined manner (Powell, Freeman and
Kahn, 2019. ). In t shirt design, where there is lot of things to do. With the use of it, I have
analysed that one of my major career drawback is not managing the work on time. This is one of
barrier that has affected my whole career. I have analysed that I have still have issue to
procrastinate the assigned task till final deadline of the work get arrived. Due to this, productivity
and quality of the task both get affected. This issues needs to resolved so that task can be
accomplished by me effectively and efficiently.
What do you learn from the challenge in terms of personal development
I need to manage my work on time so that there is no delay in completion of tasks. For that i
need to develop a schedule and work accordingly. This will help me in managing my work and
maintaining balance between personal and professional life. Furthermore, i will be able to
achieve my goals by working in timely manner.
Hotel challenge -:
This challenge was related to managing of hotel operations. In class i was given challenge to
simulate a hotel business and how i will manage 10 students in its operations. Henceforth,
operation function will cover things such as human resource, housekeeping, security, public
relations, food service and sales and finance. I have analysed that these all functions were
interrelated to each other. Thus, to oversee the entire operation of lodging establishment. To
manage all this function together was one of the So, in this challenge, I have faced a lot of issues
in managing students. Being leader of the team I have found out the issues to deal with the job

effectively. To running out hotel smoothly, this is crucial to work and manage all operations in
efficient way.
Thus, one of the challenges I faced I need to train all students so that all working can be
undertaken effectively. To cope up with this issue at that time, I took help of my friend so that I
can direct the guidelines to them and they help me to get desired result. taking this decision, I
managed to cope up the issues in effective way and this also aids me to streamline training of
students.
Skills
Business skill including presentation skill- so the skill which i showed here was business skill
to carry over entire task. With help of adopting better technical skill the things can be carried out
in the more proficient aspect (Heeneman, Driessen and Torre, 2019). Henceforth, I need to
develop my business skill by showing up ability to manage a business in more creative manner.
To make it easier in managing, I need to use some innovative approach that can aid me work in
systematic way. By building up presentation and technical skill the entire things can be
undertaken in more proper and appropriate mode.
What do you learn from the challenge in terms of personal development
I realized that there are various types of business skills is required in order to manage a business.
These skills are leadership, communication, etc so, i possess some skills but they need to be
sharpened. This will help in my professional growth. I will be able to become a successful person
or manager in my field.

Hereby, it can be concluded that E portfolio is termed out as professional portfolio that
must include experience, accomplishments, skills, education, interests, and professional goals
and objectives. The present report has covered the challenges to reflect on Apprentice
challenges, presentation challenges, T-shirt challenge and hotel challenges. Also, reflection has
been conducted on skills with use of model and theories. Lastly, action plan has been framed out
to develop and improve skills.
