Promoting equality and value diversity through education and training help in
reducing differences between individuals and increases their curriculum excellence.
Moreover, equality ensures that children should be treated equally within the school premises
irrespective of their cast, creed and gender, whereas diversity refers to respecting the
differences in order to create a healthy atmosphere (Banks 2015). The essay elucidates on
promoting quality and value diversity through education and training within the classroom.
Discussion
As per the Equality Act 2010, it has been cleared that everyone should be treated
equally irrespective of their differences in age, gender, race and more. In teaching process, it
means that paying more attention to diverse group students by incorporating an equality
assessment analysis within their course study (Davies et al. 2016). Through proper training,
professors need to identify various opportunities so that students from different cultures can
work together. In order to promote equality and value diversity, teachers within classroom
should introduce multicultural education that will emphasis more on cultural pluralism to
reduce the difference between cultures within classroom. Multicultural education will help
the students to understand various cultural differences in order to recognize the activities of
socioeconomic and racial groups.
It is important to note that introduction of training facilities within the classroom will
promote equality and diversity. Training programs in classroom can be conducted through
various ways such as providing resources to students that comprises of people from various
backgrounds, quiz session will tend to analyse whether the students are aware of various
cultures and religions (Aragona and Sawyer 2018). Apart from this, training workshop should

focus more on positive attitudes and relationships that would help students to value
relationships with diversely cultured students. Apart from this, Interdisciplinary learning
education (IDL) encourages students to participate in group projects that comprises of
diverse cultured students. This will help students to develop better knowledge and
understanding and tends to provide opportunities to students regarding mixed stage learning.
The training session must focus to tackle sectarianism among students by analyzing
the reason behind such prejudices and by applying anti-sectarianism policy would help in
analyzing good practices to reduce such sectarianism. Apart from this, to promote equality
and value diversity among students, cloud mapping should be introduced that will help
teachers to evaluate the promotion regarding value diversity among various aspects of school
work. Training facilities should encourage students to share their own cultures and religions
in front of other students, so that every student should be aware regarding other cultures and
traditions and would try to respect such (Thompson 2016). In order to promote curriculum for
excellence, schools should embed equalities education by celebrating anti-racist week,
diversity day to where students will discuss issues related to anti-racism and measures to
tackle those. Accordingly, this will also enable students to learn from each other by sharing
their activities related to equalities education.
Conclusion
From the above essay it can be concluded that by promoting equality and value
diversity among students within the classroom will develop their curriculum for excellence
and accordingly helps students to respect students from different cultures and traditions.
Apart from this, training and multicultural education will help to promote equality among
culturally diverse students.
