This dissertation proposal focuses on equality and diversity in the workplace, aiming to develop effective strategies for promoting diversity. The proposal outlines the research objectives, questions, and rationale, emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities for all employees regardless of their background. It explores the impacts of workplace discrimination on retailers' performance and the positive effects of diversity on employee performance. The methodology includes a qualitative research approach using primary data collected through questionnaires from 30 employees of Burberry. The project timeline, data management plan, and ethical considerations are also detailed, including a questionnaire designed to gather insights on diversity promotion strategies and their perceived benefits. The research seeks to provide valuable insights into fostering inclusive workplaces and improving employee outcomes.
