This report has carried out research through use of qualitative and quantitative research
methods that are appropriated for meeting objective and aim of project. The data collected

Qualitative research: When data and information are collected through use of numerical and

interview and systematic observation (Galassi, 2017). Thus, it is more structured and formal

method to collect and analysis large number of information for effective and better
understanding of topic.
Quantitative research: It is type of research that is used to understand reason, opinion through
deeper analysis of information so that particular outcome of research can be gathered. Such
methods are used by focusing on particular group such as through interview and observation
therefore size of research and respondent is limited. It is mainly used to identify behaviour,
nature, attitude of group of large people to collect information about specific topics (Moores,
2017). Thus aim of quantitative research is to find out how many people behave, think in

Therefore it has make use of both quantitative and qualitative data to analysis whether
equity and diversity exist within workplace of organisation or not. So that effective suggestion
can be formulated to bring equality and diversity within organisation for effective growth and
success of firm.
Research philosophy: It is philosophy that state various ways in which information or data can
be easily gathered, analysed and used. Research philosophy is an important part of research
methodology as it explains strategy of research and method of strategy that are used to conduct
research (Jeppesen and et.al., 2017). There are different types of research philosophy such as :
Positivism: It mostly works on quantifiable observation and high structure methodology is
followed to facilitate hypothesis. Thus, hypothesis development and data collection are two basis
approaches of research strategy. In such types of research data cannot be manipulated during
collection of data as they are independent to the subject of research.
Interpretivism: It is philosophy of research methodology that explained different between
human as social actors or roles that they play within organisation. Human interpreted data as per
their roles and responsibilities thus each individual has different set of meaning for similar
information (Mackey and Bryfonski, 2018). This research has made as per interpretivism of all

critical realism and direct realism. Thus, critical realism explains about our imaginary feeling

effective outcome can be gained. Thus sampling can be further classified into two probability
and non probability sampling. There is little difference between two terms such as probability is
used form random sampling whereas non probability used research judgement to understand
particular information (Oseni, Dingley and Hart). Therefore this research has been conducted by
using probability and non probability sampling methods.
Data collection: It is systematically process to collect or gather various types of information and
data, measurement of information in order to resolve different research question and evaluates
specific outcomes. Research should be conducted on basis of accurate and correct information so
that best outcome can be yield. There are two types or method of data collection such as primary
and secondary those are described below:
Primary Data: It is method where data are collected through first hand sources by using
different method to conduct research such as survey, experiments and interviews. Therefore lot
of time, effort and money is spend to collect primary data as researcher has to interview various
individual to get particular outcome (Hathaway and et.al., 2018). Primary data are collected by
researcher for specific purpose or to get desired result from particular research.
Secondary data: Data that are collected through use of books, journal and magazines and other
resource are termed as secondary data. It is less expensive and time consuming method and helps
in deep analysis of primary data to effective evaluates about specific information.
Therefore, it can be stated that both primary and secondary method to collect information

et.al., 2018). Collection of data through primary source may research accurate and correct so
that effective interpretation of information can be made.
Data analysis: It is process to analysis and evaluates data and information so that effective
result can be gathered and quick decision can be made on basis of data analysis. Data can be
analysed and evaluated through use of two different methods such as thematic and statistical.
Thematic: It refers to study of particular topic to get deep knowledge related to particular topics
by making various themes of interview data. Thereby it is mostly suitable for quantitative
research as it use flexible approach and no specific method of research is used in thematic
