Project management plan
Project management plan is a basic tool that is used for developing a detail overview of
various phases that are part of a research work. It is adopted for facilitation of research work and
providing guidance so that different activities of research can be managed. Different components
of research project includes cost, scope, quality, communication and many such related elements.
This management plan is very helpful in development of the value of proposition according to
way the project has to be executed by the researcher. The Project management plan for this
research is given below:
Cost: This is related to the financial requirement of the research report. In this there is
need to arrange all financial resources so that whole project can be efficiently completed (Natha,
2020). There is need of some financial resources for conducting the survey, travelling and
incurring cost for managing all the petty expenses that take place all through research.
Scope: The scope of research project is to make a depth analysis and then further draw
recommendation to the HR manager for the purpose of ensuring smooth management of their
diverse workforce (Erickson, and et. al., 2014). The results obtained from this research and
various recommendations that have been made by the researcher can be used for the purpose of
managing the high amount of diversity that is prevailing in the organisation like Sainsburys
because of diverse workforce.
Quality: Quality is used for ensuring that overall outcomes are achieved according to
some predetermined standards that are to be set in the initial stages of a research (Klein, 2016).
Such as there has to be some specific standards that are to be set by researcher in the beginning
of the report to ensure that these standards help in achievement of higher quality outcomes.
There is use of monitoring techniques like key performance indicators, correcting defects and
using Gantt chart to ensue timely completion of the research report.

Such as secondary available sources like journals, newspapers, websites etc. these are very
important to procure information required to collection of the needed information related to
research topic and further analyse it to draw reliable outcomes (Jammaers, Zanoni and Hardonk,
2016).
Risk: there is always situation of high risk that can be faced by researcher because of
non timely completion of research, deficiency of resources, non achievement of laid objectives.
These have to be dealt by researcher in order to avoid such type of pre determined risks (Vickers,
2017). For this there is use of techniques like Gantt chart & WBS to divide the work and allocate
the activities according to available time period.
Communication: In the whole research project there is need to make proper
communication to project manager so that there can tracking of progress. There will be use of

is demonstrated by use of Gibbs reflective model to clearly reflect the different stages of the
whole research work.
Gibbs reflective cycle:
There has been many learnings through this research report that will be helping me in my
future professional and academic life. Initially in the research report I faced difficulty in
identification of authentic sources but then I used online available sources, articles and journals
to collect reliable information. The time period was also not utilised efficiently as I did not
divided it according to various activities. but then I started my work according to series of steps.
There are some aspects of the research work that are mentioned below:
Feelings:
In the initial stages of the report I was very nervous and scared that if I will not be able to
identify the sources and collect information then my overall quality of work will not be
according to required standards because of limitation of time. But initially as I started working in

Evaluation:
In this stage I will say that my overall experience was quite average. As it consist of both
good moments like when I was getting complete support. It also helped me in getting the
authentic sources of collecting information.
Analysis:
I was also able to work on my weakness and take some positivity out of it. Further I
learnt that there are some aspects that helped me in getting deep insights about my shortcomings
majorly that includes inefficient time management initially but later use of techniques like work
break down structure & Gantt chart helped me in dealing with such issues. I also realised that
the learnings from this work will surely impose a positive effect on my future course of
activities.
Conclusion
I will say that my experience through the research project was good and I learnt different
aspects such as I felt that I could have worked more hard to avoid such type of situations. There
was situations of high uncertainty in initial stages regarding the collection of authentic
information. From this, I realised that there is a need to work on improving my self confidence
level.
Action plan:
I will be working on each activity of research by increasing my level of research and not
just focussing on one topic. This is reflected in overall outcomes in future research work.
Alternative methodology
In the present research, questionnaire is used by investigator in order to conduct the
research in a systematic manner. Alternative method which can be used by researcher in near
