INTRODUCTION
Equality means providing every employee who is working in organization with same
opportunity. It means not discriminating on the basis of religion, culture, beliefs and values. Firm
must make sure that every worker needs to be provided with adequate resources to perform day
to day business activities. Promoting equality and diversity at work place can make working
environment better. It will increase productivity and job Performance of employees which is
really necessary for growth of firm. It will also help firm in better able to achieve goals and
objectives. This will assist firm in growing and increasing their output. Diversity means
appointing employees from different culture so that creativity in organization increases. Present
report will lay emphasis on Hotel Hilton. They provide with high quality of hospitality services.
Report will focus on appropriate research methods and conduct primary and secondary research.
It will apply analytical tools to analyse research findings and data.

Background of Research: Equality and diversity can improve job satisfaction and can
also boost morale of employees. It can also help firm in retaining employees and increasing
worker’s engagement. Workplace discrimination can lower down the morale of workers and can
also increase employee turnover.
Aim:
“To eliminating workplace discrimination and unfair practices by promoting “Equality
and Diversity”. A case study on hotel Hilton. “
Objectives:
To articulate the impact of “Equality and Diversity” on workplace discrimination.
To identify roles of leaders and managers in reducing workplace discrimination.
To investigate the ways that aids to overcome workplace discrimination and creates
supportive working environment.
To undertake suggestive measures that aids to promote “Equality and Diversity” within
the hotel Hilton.

Equality and diversity needs to be implemented in every organization as it increases
productivity and job performance of employees (Klarsfeld and et.al., 2016). In this aspect equal
opportunities are being provided to all workers whether they are male and female. It has been
analysed that no workplace discrimination should exist as it will reduce operational efficiency
and this type of behaviour by employers also lays negative impact on mind of employees.

What is the role of leaders and mangers in reducing workplace discrimination?
What is the impact of Equality and diversity on workplace discrimination?
Research methodology:
It can be defined as that set of actions which can be used by researchers in order to
collect, gather and analyse information.
Research type: There are basically two types of research one is Qualitative and other one
is Quantitative. In first one data collection is fully based on systematic theoretical Frameworks.
Other type includes gathering information based on numbers. For present study, Qualitative with
Questionnaire will be used (Kumar, 2019).
Research approach: There are two type of approaches that includes inductive and
deductive. For present study inductive method will be used as it deals with observation and
theories(Parnacott and Whitehouse, 2019).
Research strategy: In order to conduct present study, descriptive strategy will be used,
as this method includes step by step actions which will help researcher in getting end results.
Data collection: Data can be collected by two methods primary and secondary. For
present study primary data collection will be used with the help of Questionnaire.
Sampling: For this study Random sampling with 30 respondents that is employees will
be used. It is taken so that no biasness can exist(Thompson, 2016).
Literature review:
As per the view of Foster, (2019) Equality and diversity in organization means providing
equal opportunities to individuals working. This can also lay positive impact on relationship
between staff members and employers. When everyone in organization is treated equally, this
assist firm in enhancing job performance and productivity.

same and equal opportunities. This can help in increasing productivity and achieving goals and
objectives. If organization is actively involved in promoting equality and diversity, then this can
thrive people to perform better and will also boost morale of employees who are working in firm.
If firm is not engaged in treating everyone fairly then this will increase frustration level of
employees, they will tend to leave. This will reduce organizational efficiency and will also
hamper goodwill of firm. Diversity will help employees in having idea about how to work in
different diverse cultural environment. This can assist organization in increasing their
profitability as well as increase their revenue aspects too(Stein, Hannah and Zimmerman, 2019).
Theme 2: identify roles of leaders and managers in reducing workplace discrimination
In the opinion of (Palacios, 2016) leaders and managers haver most significant role in
reducing the impact of workplace discrimination. They need to implement various laws, rules
and regulations and policies like equal pay will be given to all employees who are working at
same position. This will help organization in enhancing relationship and bond between
employees. It will also boost employee’s morale because of which they will be able to achieve
goals and objectives. Leaders and managers must make sure that no workplace discrimination
exist in firm because of which employees become aggressive and they tend to leave organization.
Leaders and managers when recruiting diverse individuals can increase productivity and improve
creative aspects of firm. This will also increase revenue and profits. Discrimination can severely
impact recruitment and hiring procedure, like firm can engage in recruiting less qualified
employees because of biasness, this will reduce productivity of organization. So leaders and
managers needs to be known that workplace discrimination can severely impact brand reputation
of firm. It can reduce job performance of employees.

In the opinion of (Klein, 2016) there are various ways that can be adopted by organization to
implement strategies that remove work place discrimination. Like for example equal and

It is considered to large variety of steps which is considered to have broad level of
assumption such s the detailed methods of more over collecting data along with proper analysis

as it helps in increasing the new theories regarding the project to have proper conducting of

respondents that is employees will be used. It is taken so that no biasness can exist.

and long with beings valued among respondent.
2. Data analysis refers to appropriates modification of and interpretation of data which is
being collected from respective respondent. It is important for researcher to have proper
follow the data steps in process of data collections to make readers aware in regards
knowledge which is gain by research effectiveness. Thematic analysis has been followed
in accomplishing research data analysis.
3. Cost is considered to be a effective way which is necessary to have the effective
accomplishment of project. Cost is necessary to have all level of resource which is

4. Ethical consideration is an important aspect which have interrelated ethic and respects to
