INTRODUCTION
Background of Research
Equality is mainly about respecting the staff members in term of their age, gender,
experience, cultural background and rationality. On the other sider diversity means having
employees from different background working all together within a workplace. equality and
diversity at workplace has now become a necessity of each organization in today’s competitive
world (Arday, 2019). Today customers are having range of options and alternative to choose
product of their choice. Hence diversified workforce helps in decoding the pattern of different
market demand irrespective of features they maintain. Other than this it also provides with
innovative ideas and support in brings products or services that remains different and at the same
time unique from that of already available in market place. Hence it helps in enhancing the
market performance of an organization along with providing it competitive edge at marketplace
(Bowl, 2018). Therefore current study is conducted for investigating about several behaviour that
promote equality and diversity at workplace by considering Hilton hotel as organization for
research.
Aim and Objectives of Research
Research Aim:
The aim of the investigation is “To evaluate about the concept of equality and diversity
along with the behaviors that support creation of Equality and Diversity in the workplace”. A
research conducted on Hilton London Tower Bridge situated at London Riverside, Tooley St,
London SE1 2BY, United Kingdom.
Research Objectives:
The objectives in relation to this investigation are mentioned below:
To evaluate concept of equality and diversity in general.
To investigate about the impact of behaviors that support Equality and Diversity on
success and productivity of Hilton Hotel.
To identify the possible behaviors that support creation of equality and diversity in Hilton
Hotel in order to lead better success.

The questions of research provide direction to the overall investigation. In relation to this
investigation, the research questions are as follows:

What impact could be seen on success of an organisation through supporting behaviours
of equality and diversity?

to enhance its success level?
Rationale of research
The main reason behind performing this study is that it assists in analysing the significance
of equality and diversity and workplace and the impact of behaviours which support it on success
of Hotel. Apart from this, it also helps the management of Hotel in ensuring development of
effective behaviour that helps in maintaining equality in diversity and leads it towards success
(Attia, and Edge, 2017). This investigation is highly significant for the hotel in attaining growth
and success in the market.
LITERATURE REVIEW
The concept of equality and diversity
As per the information presented by Sharma, 2016, equality and diversity at workplace
consist of lots of things such as respecting different culture, age, skills, experience etc. Both the
concept equality and diversity are considered significant for current era of business as with
increasing use of technology and transport the reach of organizations has speeded over several
different geographical regions. This in turn require them they operate with due care for offering
product or services as per the need and preference of different customer which usually get
changes with time and place where they reside. So, at such time the management of diversity
remains very much essential as employees belong to different background help in getting better
understanding about the culture, taste and preferences of customer which ensures offering right
product to right market and hence contribute toward the growth and success of organization
(Butcher, 2016). Other than this for managing equality among diversified employees it become
easier to retain talent within organization for longer duration which ensures more employee
engagement and better performance from employees’ side that further help in achieving the

hotel will stand to benefit the company when their diversity is being valued, ideas are being
considered and appreciated. This is so because it will bring maximum employees’ engagement
and their remains a regular flow of innovative ideas which in turn help in getting more and more

maximum customer reach and hence support in getting success at marketplace.

enhancing the quality of operations by reducing the chances of error or resolving the issue in
more effective manner. This in turn further support in improving the productivity of employees
as when they present their view or ideas and get support from their employees. Thus, it a can be
said that the behaviors which support equality and diversity can lead the organisation towards
success and assist in improving its productivity.

equality and diversity at workplace is not enough. This sis about policies that have to be place in
favour of managing equality and respect about the diversity among each employee by promoting
a working culture where each individual feel valued and being supported for performing their

role. This must be beginning from the top management by demonstrating behaviour that value
diversity and equality within the language they uses and everything they actually perform. The
Hilton hotel must focus toward presenting their organisational policies in a way where they
describe about the set of standards to which each employee must adhere and presenting guidance
about the set of behaviour that are being demanded from them. Additionally, the consequences or
punishments must be specified before in case employees do not adhere to those standards for
getting fully implementation of set standards.
