responses (Bröder and et.al., 2017).
Discrimination has also adverse impact upon the lifestyle decisions which might
affect even after the experience is over.
Discrimination can also lead to increased risk of defined psychiatric disorders.
Dealing with discrimination can result in a condition of heightened vigilance and
behavioural changes which can trigger higher stress responses.
Discrimination experience is also associated with the increased emotional
dysregulation i.e. denial and venting.
1.3Explain how inclusive practice promotes equality and supports
diversity
Inclusion refers to including all the individuals in all aspects of life and not to exclude
them on the basis of factors such as their race, colour, age or disability. Through working
using inclusive practices, it is ensured that every person is getting equal opportunities to
participate and win. Inclusive practices promote equality and also support diversity as
everyone is treated equably and fairly in inclusive practices. For example: When an
activity is arranged at the ground floor, wheelchairs are also made available. This ensures
that wheelchair users or disable persons are able to participate among the others. It creates
the activity equal and fair for everyone.
Inclusive practices also support diversity as it endures that every individuality's unique
feature is valued and respected among others (Ibáñez-Martín, 2017). It makes individuals
as part of community and not excluded or isolated because of their individual differences.
2.1 Explain how legislation and codes of practice relating to equality,
diversity and discrimination apply to own work role
Document Page
There are many legislations and codes of practice which relates to equity and diversity
such as the Equal Pay Act 1970, Race Relations Act 1976 and Disability Discrimination
Act 1995.
The Human Rights Act of All Persons article provides a guarantee that every person is
granted freedom, liberties and rights (Frazer-A., Frazer-G. and Frazer-B.N., 2021). The
features of all the legislations states the rights for the people who cannot make their own
choices or decisions. Some provisions of laws aim to achieve well-being of overall
systems with the standards. It can include interests, beliefs, desires and individual
thoughts as an addition to certain necessities. National level policies are made in the
workplaces which are developed in accordance with the legislations which support clauses
of laws. These include a policy which in inclusive to workplace equality and diversity.
2.2 Show interaction with individuals that respects their beliefs, culture,
values and preferences
When communicating or interacting with individual one must do their best to respect their
values, preferences, belief and cultures. One way to show this to take holistic approach.
Holistic approach refers to the approach when all the aspects are made up and then theyr
are viewed from the point of view of other people as well as from the cultural and social
prospectus of the people.
For example: an individual might enjoy fishing but another person might not like killing or
hunting animals. At that point the individual should not try to do the similar activities with
another person who disguise these activities (Bailey and Nyabola, 2021).
When interacting with a person one must get to know them so that they can show that they
understand what is acceptable and what is not acceptable by them. It can stop a person
from harming the feeling of another person.

3.1 Demonstrate actions that model inclusive practice
Inclusive practices are an approach which suggests that every person must be treated
equally without dissemination or any inequality.
Inclusive practice can be demonstrated with a number of examples. For example, to
demonstrate inclusive practice towards children, every child's uniqueness must be
embraced and celebrated (Schwarzenthal, M. and et.al., 2018). The actions involved for
this practice towards children includes treating all the children equally with respect. Every
child must be included and supported despite their diverse backgrounds, races, cultures or
languages etc. Another action is to ensure that every child is able to participate in
activities being conducted.
Another example might be providing activities to people for decorations according to their
capacities. Here inclusive practice can be demonstrated through providing easy activities
to people with low mental capacity and high or difficult activities to high mental capacity
people. This will make everyone feel included and a part of the team.
3.2 Demonstrate how to support others to promote equality and rights
Supporting others to promote rights and equity means to value diversity through treating
everyone with equality, respect and dignity. This is only possible through working using
inclusive practices (Shkliarevsky, 2021). For example, when providing a musical activity
everyone Is included.
The information which supports inclusion, diversity and equality is promoted through team
meeting, training and supervision through resources such as skills for care, skills for health
and human rights commissions and other legislations and organizations. Equity and rights
can also be promoted through setting clear rules in regard to treatment of people. A culture
must be created where all the staff or students are treated equally regardless of their
backgrounds or colours.

3.3 Describe how to challenge discrimination in a way that promotes
change
Discrimination can be challenged through the use of training and supervision to develop
understanding and knowledge, to reporting any discriminatory practice. The disciplinary
processes can be used as a tool to address, promote and help in improved attitudes that
promote change. When a person see's any kind of discrimination they should report that
immediately to higher authorities. Another way to challenge discrimination is to simply
talk with the person who is discriminating (Dhanoya, 2021). A simple way to make the
person understand of their discriminatory behaviours should be identified. This can
promote change within a person.
For example: A Britisher swears on his skin colour for proving a point. Another person
from different colour might find that offending. In this situation the other person must
make the Britisher understand that swearing on their skin colour is offensive to them, so
they should avoid using it.
