INTRODUCTION
Equality refers to keep equal behaviour and opportunity to individual person while
diversity refers to keep such kind peoples who belongs to different culture and region. Equality
and diversity are crucial factors which supports to understand their behaviour and their thinking
regarding culture. Diversity leads different peoples from different region while equality supports
peoples to get fair behaviour. It plays important role at workplace because organization gets
different type of peoples who possess different talent. Employee gets opportunity to understand
each other and learns new talent. Beside of this organization enables to give values each type of
customers in market. To promote diversity at job place equality requires because it offers equal
opportunity to each type of employees to show their talent at workplace. Equality maintains
well-being of each employee at workplace which promotes employees to give the best
performance at workplace. It also gives values to each culture which boost employee’s self-
esteem regarding their jobs. Both factors support company to take competitive advantage
because different culture or different region has different taste regrading product and services, in
that state organization enables to give values to their customer by offering desired products. It
leads satisfaction of customer and enhance employee’s confidence. Thus, equality and diversity
is important tool at workplace.

Background
For every organisation it is necessary to maintain a positive workplace environment so
that business efficiency is maintained. It is also useful in increasing employee performance as
well. Equality refers to treating all employees within firm in fair and equal way. Diversity refers
to recruiting people without any discrimination. This is because any issue that occur in equality
or diversity highly impact on organisational culture. Moreover, employee performance is also
impacted due to it. Their perception towards organisation becomes negative. However, an

organisation with high diversity is able to gain competitive advantage in the market. They are
able to promote equality.
But in recent times, many issues related to equality and diversity has emerged. They are
racism, discrimination, gender pay gap, etc. so, these all have resulted in impacting on work
force of airline sector. Beside this, females are highly suffering from that issues as well. Thus,
firms need to focus on solving these issues so that equality is maintained.
Aim
To identify how companies are solving issues of equality and diversity at workplace. A
case study of Air France KLM.

P2. Project Management Plan
Project management plan can be defined as a document that can be used for elaborating
each project phase. It includes planning, execution, implementation, monitoring and controlling
of a project. This plan is used by an organisation to execute a project in an effective manner by
planning all the things in advance. It consists of cost, time, quality, risk, communication, scope
and resource that are associated with a specific project (Brunswicker and Chesbrough, 2018).
Cost- It is the amount of money or budget that is required to meet the objectives
of a specific project. It is the responsibility of a researcher to work within a budget and resources
provided. The cost which is required for executing this project is £2700 and its distribution is

Resource- For conducting this research, different resources are utilised such as technical,
human, physical and financial resources (Crammond and et. al., 2018).

Project management tools are defined as a tools and techniques which is utilised by
project manager for planning and delegating complete work in one place. These tools are used by
a business to manage a project in an effective manner. There are various tools that can be used in
this research such as Gantt chart and WBS Structure.

WBS Structure- It is an important project management tool which helps in organising team
work in managerial actions. It is used by project manager to determine the scope of a project in
managerial actions which can be easily understood by each members of a project management
team. This structure is utilised by project manager for properly organising the project work in an
appropriate manner. It also helps in identifying problem areas of the project and the potential
risks which is associated with each project (Graupp and Wrona, 2018).
Gantt Chart- It is a type of bar chart which illustrates a schedule of a project that helps in
showcasing activities between current status of schedule and activities (Gantt Chart, 2019). It is
adjusted on frequent basis for reflecting the real status of tasks of a project.

P4. Small scale research
Research methodologies are used by researcher to analyse the observed phenomenon.
Such methods helps in showing various tools and techniques that are required for conducting a
research of a specific project and helps in determining various problems that takes place when
research is being conducted (Harmon, 2019). There are basically two methods for conducting a
research which is quantitative and qualitative. In this research, both qualitative and quantitative
method is utilised.
Qualitative Method: This method of conducting a research is used for understanding
motivations, opinions and underlying reasons. It provides insights of a specific problem and
helps in generation and creation of ideas for conducting quantitative research. It consists of
various methods such as interviews, observations and group discussions (Kasim, Haracic, and
Haracic, 2018).
Quantitative Method: This methodology used to conduct a research helps in generating
numerical data which is easily transformable into statistics that can be used. It also uses data

which is measurable to formulate facts and uncover patter in research. It includes various surveys
like online, mobile, paper,interviews, system observations, online polls and so on.
In this research, both these method are utilised as qualitative method is utilised to
generate ideas for quantitative research. On the other hand, quantitate research generates
numerical data that can be easily transformed into statistics.
Data Collection Sources
Primary Data- It is collected by the project manager from the first hand resources such as
interviews, surveys, etc. . Such kind of data is raw which is gathered by project manager from
primary resources.
Secondary resources- Such data is already gathered by other person and is used by
researcher for conducting a specific research. It saves time by getting high quality data without
doing much research.
In this research, primary resources are utilised to collect data for making it more relevant and
specific.
Sampling- It can be defined as a procedure that is utilised in statistical analysis in which
a specific number of observations are taken from a large population. In order to conduct this
research ,random sampling is taken into action (Mrass, Peters and Leimeister, 2018).
In order to conduct this research, 20 respondents are selected among the stakeholders of
Air France and their views are recorded. For this purpose, a questionnaire is prepared that pays
attention over objectives and aims of a report.

and women achieve success at work differently but answers of all the respondents are not same
in fact 6 of them disagrees with the statement and 2 of them are not even sure whether men and

the employees it can be analysed that it is true that both men and women at workplace achieve
success in a different manner this is mainly because workplace challenges for men and women
are not always equal.
