INTRODUCTION
Equality is to make sure that people are learning and working within a same environment while
been treated equally and fairly or given fair chances and opportunities. Equality strictly focuses on
the segments which are covering by the laws and regulations, these segments or areas are religion,
gender, disability, values and sexual orientation. Diversity refers to respecting, valuing and
accepting individual's differences. Wherever there are two or more individuals learn or work
together there is diversity. Diversity simply refers to recognize and respect the differences people
share among themselves. In this report we will find out more about Diversity and equality and the
importance of promoting them(Sandell and Nightingale,2013).
TASK 1
A. Importance of promoting Equality and Diversity in Education and Training

A. Reflection of promoting Equality and Diversity which helps to create a safe and learning enabled
environment.
In order to promote Equality and Diversity in the learning environment of the school I will
focus on different elements such as -
I will focus on the needs and wants of the students from various groups within the course
design, which includes an equality analysis or impact assessment activities in the course
development is an effective method to make sure that I consideration to accessibility and
incivility.
I guide and provide standards of conduct in which they need to interact and communicate
with each other. This helps to build positive learning environment within the school.
I ensure that the students are getting equal opportunities to grow and learn. By conducting
various contest and competition such as debates, speech competition I will try to encourage
and motivate each and every student to improve or enhance their knowledge as well as
learnings.
I managed to conduct various multicultural programs and events which helped the students
to learn about different cultures and people.

B. Strategies used for promoting Equality and Diversity
Promotion of Equality and Diversity in my training and teaching programs was very
beneficial and important. I planned to promote these two components within my teaching programs
and environment. But considering the student friendly methods without putting any kind of burden
or challenge on them, I developed easy plans and techniques in order to develop Equality and
diversity which are mentioned below -
Treating the faculty and every individual equally and fairly.
Developing and implementing strict and fair rules to treat people within the teaching
environment(Thompson,2016).
Equal opportunities and chances to all the students should be given so that they can equally
access to participate.
Introducing various kinds of teaching techniques and methods.
Utilising resources with multicultural subjects or themes.
Setting various policies against any type of discrimination.
Conducting lessons and programs regarding equality and diversity in the classrooms.
Conducting multicultural programs and activities within the classrooms.
These plans and strategies assisted me to obtain the objectives of equality and diversity in my
teaching practices and environment. It was not that much challenging and difficult for the students
to understand and follow the above actions. Therefore, it was easy to implement the plans and
strategies to develop equality and diversity in my teaching environment.
Good practice in providing individual learners with information
I would bolster the execution of the school's methodologies, including the appraisal of the
school meeting its equity duties(Thompson,2016).
I would guarantee fairness is incorporated as a standing motivation thing on the school's
administration boards.
Lead or add to the fairness and decent variety programs inside the school.

Every individual needs to treat everybody equally and respectfully in the classroom.
B. Appointed as an Equality and Diversity coordinator.
1. To Enhance the School's activities or programs for initiation to promote Equality and
Diversity.
Getting appointed as the Equality and Diversity coordinator in the school I would be
provided important as well as necessary roles and duties. These duties will help the school in
enhancing their performance and functions in the promotion of Equality and diversity in the school
campus or environment. The various functions or duties I will be performing are as described below
-
I will be supporting the implication of the various strategies developed by the school such as
the assessment of the school meets for the equality duties.
I will make sure that Equality and diversity presented as the main and significant objective
within the school's management and committees.

I would contribute and lead the various equality and diversity activities and programs
conducted in the school(Bloomfield and Vurdubakis,2014).
I will be contributing to the implementation and development of the equality and diversity
practices and policies within the school. I would act as an advising source on diversity and
equality impact assessment.
I would also be acting as an initial point of contact for the personnel’s to share their ideas
and views on general equality concerns in the school.
2.Professionals to work with while promoting equality and diversity within a school.
Working as the Equality and Diversity coordinator in the school, I will seek various agencies
and professionals which can assist me in promoting and developing equality and diversity in the
school. Some examples are mentioned below -
I would hire event companies and professionals to conduct and organise multicultural
programmes and activities to promote or encourage the equality and diversity within the
school.
I would be organising the effective staff meetings and conferences to promote or share the
necessity of equality and diversity. Due to which the school professionals and staff would
help in implementation of the strategies and plans for the promotion of equality
I will work with the school committees and management to effectively maintain the
implication of the promotional strategies and plans of equality and diversity.
How working with other agencies can promote diversity
Working with various other agencies provides opportunities for an organisation to grow the
business, learn about various business techniques and methods, as well as identify different areas of
the business environment. Different agencies have unique business objective and process to achieve
them while working them an organisation or individual can develop diverse skills and techniques to
achieve different goals or objectives within a workplace. The working environment of every
organisation or agency is different from other, working with these different agencies can help to
learn about different type of working environment and their working culture.
TASK 4

Recommendation of modifications to systems and structures that do not promote equality and
diversity -
Focus on facilitating rather than instructing – The staff within the school needs to develop a

neutral environment within the school by decreasing the power differential among the
students and instructors.
Showing involvement and analysing the ethical background of each and every student.
Multicultural programs and lessons needs to be developed and conducted to share and
promote the equality and diversity as well as stop discrimination.
TASK 5
A. The Five elements required to promote Equality and Diversity.
The five main components that are essential to promote the Equality and diversity in the
teaching process are as listed below -
Developing a comprehensive learning environment for staff and students.
Avoiding and challenging any negative behaviour, disrespect and bad attitude.
Implementing multiculturalism within the classroom lessons.
Assuring that the teaching elements does not enable discrimination.
Developing lessons which indicate the diversity within the classroom.
B. Missed opportunities that enhance the promotion of Equality and Diversity.
The management and staff members needs to understand the importance of equality and
diversity within the learning environment of the school. I missed to conduct the staff
meetings and conferences to share these needs of equality and diversity.
Deficiency in organising programs of multiculturalism due to minimum support by the staff
and management. The reason for this was the lack of understanding and learnings of
Equality and Diversity(MooreTailby,2015).
C. Effect on the school's equality and diversity programme.
My school develops a huge change due to the promotion and practices of the equality and
diversity. The entire environment of the school was impressive and positive. The staff members and
the students started supporting the Equality and diversity purposes. The Discrimination no longer
exits within the school or its learning environment. There is no partiality done by the teachers or
management among the students, the students are now offered equal chances and opportunities to
achieve their goals and objectives. The school's culture is now pleasant and respectful.
Equality and Diversity is successfully developing the learning culture of the school, and
making the environment peaceful.

CONCLUSION
The above concluded that people can learn and grow effectively with values as well as
positive attitude if the teaching environment implement the equality and diversity in their lessons
and teaching programs. The learners should be trained and developed within a multicultural
environment to ignore and avoid discrimination and its negative impacts.
