Tourism is related to the social, cultural and economical procedure which necessitate the
movement of the person to destinations, places or countries outsides their habitual environment
for private or professional purpose (Abou-Shouk, Mannaa and Elbaz, 2021). In the tourism
sector, equality is a vital principal which deals with the equity in distribution, use and assess of
goods. Tourism helps individuals in providing them equal opportunity in work, skill
development, income and education. They also aids equal control, ownership, technology,
finance and resources which is very important in empowering people to take more active and
equal role in the society. The aim of this essay is to determine the participation and equality
issues in the tourism industry. There are various importance of tourism sector to the managers of
future development of global destinations. The tourism industry contributes more than up to 10%
of global GDP, so to develop future destination of world individual should restore the growth of
the GDP. Travel and tourism industry is the worlds biggest global export and increases the
number of international trade. It also improves the international investment because in the
foreign direct investment it is the second biggest fast growing industry. An individual travels or
visit the destination in order to challenge themselves and expand their point of view towards the
world, so people expect very much from the tourism sector. People expect reliability, space,
privacy, convenience, comfort, efficiency and many more from the travel sector for taking good
experience of places and destinations of the entire world. An individual travels to gain
knowledge and enjoy the art, traditions, heritage, music, architecture, history and many more of
the destination. Many people are able to learn various things, gain knowledge and information by
travelling different type of destinations and places all over the world. Traditional culture is the
main attraction of most of the people of different destinations and places. To the lower skilled
and wage people, travel and tourism sector provides large number of job opportunities. This
helps in reducing the income inequality and poverty in the each locations.
MAIN BODY
The customers are the vital aspect in the travel and tourism sector for their growth,
profitability and success of the business. The services to the consumers provided by the tourism
industry is based on profitability and money. In the tourism sector, without people there is no
income as the customers are the important element for their daily business. Tourism sector plays

an important role in increasing the nations economy (Alarcón and Cole, 2019). It provides the
positive economic result because it is the globe major sector of economy. Tourism industry
comes under the category of third biggest export and contributes 7% of worlds trade and 20% of
GDP of the country. It gives opportunity to the large number of people by providing generation
of income, employment and foreign exchange earnings. Tourism and travel sector also improves
the infrastructure which includes rail improvement, airport development, water supply
improvement telecommunication and many more which indicates utilities. Along with some
advantages tourism sector also have some negative impacts on the world. There are
overcrowding and traffic jams because of people who travel the destination in season. The prices
of the products and goods of the local shops increases because tourists are considered as
wealthier one as compared to the local population and people. The short term revenue of the
tourism industry increases as the large number of the people visit the different destinations and
spend money. It helps the tourism industry in gaining long term sustainability and sustainable
competitive advantage over others in the market and same industry (Russen, Dawson and
Madera, 2021). It boost and aids in increasing the growth of the economic activities, increase
profits of large industry, development of infrastructure and many more. Tourism industry is also
a source of foreign earnings and generation of employment. With the help of some factors like
industrialisation, education, liberal trade policy, strategic marketing, higher number of qualified
professional, better advertisement and many more, the tourism and travel sector effects the
economical growth of different countries.
Tourism have a positive impact on the society as it includes preserving the local culture
and heritage, forms and arts, commercialisation of culture and art, revitalisation of customers and
many more. There are also some negative impact of tourism on society as it decline in traditional
employment (Canh, 2022). Local people are not getting jobs because they are hiring the
employees from all over the world. Another negative effect on economy of tourism is over
dependency. The tourism industry is totally depends on the people who visits the destination and
places because their whole profit and income is earned due to tourism.
Tourism and travel sector deals with travels and tours making by an individuals of
various community in different geographical areas. The market of the tourism is growing rapidly
and effective now a days and individual have different desired needs and wants to participate in

facilitate both the international and domestic tourism in reference to Olympic company. It
attracts the people from the various areas and places which can be outside or inside the country.
Olympics craze is increasing day by day into different economies which aids the new market to
be emerged in the tourism sector. It increase the value of tourism industry which assess to boost
trade of host country including their imports and export. Every person have its own reason to
join the Olympic games and to watch it. It impacts the market of tourism positively as it
influence their tourist behaviour. Olympics can effect the travel of an individual internationally
as well as domestically to influence tourism. Due to raising of the Olympic events, the
expectations of the people is also enhanced.
It also impacts the hospitality sector in many different ways like the people come to the
event and take services of hospitality from the host country (Walters, 2018). Large media
coverage is the important element which aids Olympics for emerging into industry of tourism.
These events are exposed by the media in order to enhance the popularity of the host country
which is going to help in making positive image. Media also aids them the country in attracting
international people or tourist which is going to develop their economy and in tourism sector
enhance their growth. The tourists behaviours gets influenced during the season of event to
increase their motion towards host country.
In different ways the emergence of new market influence the tourism sector. In reference
to travel, emersion of Olympics market in tourism sector increases the motivations and needs of
the customers. To go domestically, people or group of people can use various travelling methods
like buses, bike, cars and many more (Desbiolles, 2020). Whereas, for the international trips to
reach the host country for the game people needs airways and boats. Duration or time of travel is
based on the distance travelled from the tourist own country to the host country where they are
going.
Equality plays vital role in any kind of sector or industry as every person have to be
treated respectfully and equal like the other people working in the organisation. Each and every
individual who is working in the enterprise wants equality in wages and salaries equal like other
employees who are working on the same job profile (Pritchard, 2018). The tourism companies

provides fair personnel policy and better quality of working atmosphere within the company so
that their workforce do not fell demotivated. For each and every women to be treated fair and
equal like men, so they also promote in equality of women within the society. They gives luxury
and comfort services to their consumers in order to satisfy them, make them feel safe and
comfortable. Tourism sector gives fair salary, proper environment and many more to their
employees so that they can feel valued and perform their given task effectively and efficiently. It
aids them in achieving organisational success and goal by attracting large number of people from
all over the world and gain sustainable competitive advantage over others in the market and same
industry. As the workforce of the company is motivated, so they treat their consumers properly
and complete their task effectively with full dedication increases the profitability and revenue of
the organisation. Tourism sector mainly focuses on the rights of an individual for example gap in
gender pay, it is related to the rights of the women like they have to be paid fair and equal to the
men. Sometimes in the company, women works as equal to the man working on the same
position but still they are paid less as compared to them. This sector also focuses on ethics and
moral behaviour of the people, it includes wrong and right conduct. Moral refers to the principle
of the people which is related to the wrong or right. Whereas, all the ethics of the organisation
have to be followed by each and every individual working in the company.
The tourism industry make sure that the places and destination is looking attracted so
they develop the places properly in order to attract the large number of people from all over the
world. They also give large number of jobs to the unemployed individuals which increases the
countries economy (Ram, 2021). In reference to tourism there are different type of negative as
well as positive impact on the places and destinations. To the local people, they provide quality
of life by developing the places and destination time to time and more number of employment to
the individuals all over the world. The money and revenue earned by the tourism and travel
industry can be also used to protect the natural calamities in the different places and destinations.
The new facilities and technologies which is provided by them to their consumers also benefits
the local people of the country.
Whereas, due to the mass arriving and over crowding of the people for visiting the
specific and famous destinations, the culture and traditions of that particular place keeps on
changing. It effects the natural environment and atmosphere of the places due to overcrowding
which leads to traffic jams and pollution (Rinaldi and Salerno, 2020). It impacts the endangered

species of the particular destination because of pollution. The local shops product prices
increases because they think that the tourists are wealthier then the local people. On the local
land, this sectors puts a huge stress which increases the soil erosion, natural habitat loss,
pollution, more pressure on endangered species and animal and many more. Many people visits
the places and destinations with some expectations like they want to stay in the safe and clean
places so that they can travel the destination properly without feeling homesick. So for the
tourism industry it is very important to provide the proper places and hotel to their customers to
stay because most of the people focus on that only. The tourism industry provides various
knowledge and information regarding to the places and destination to most of the people all over
the world. So this is the best option for the individual to adopt if they want to grab knowledge
and information about the various places and destinations.
CONCLUSION
From the above essay, it is concluded that the tourism and travel sector plays vital role in
the countries economy because it contributes 20% of GDP. It aids large number of individual all
over the world by giving them more number of jobs, knowledge about the destinations heritage
and culture,safe and good environment and condition and many more. The tourism sector along
with some positive impact it also have some negative impact on the society because the more
amount of people visits the places and destinations. It gives large number of employment, new
technologies and facilities to the both customers and locals, development of infrastructure,
revenue to the people, etc. it also impacts the endangered spices, environment, increase in the
prices of the local shops and many more. Tourism sector also provides information and
knowledge to the large number of people of the culture and heritage of different places,
destinations and countries. These information assess most of the people in visiting the desired
destination and place and get satisfied. It increases the growth of the economy by improving their
import and export and enhance the business of hospitality of the desired country. It also effects
the environment like illimitability and pollution to the countries culture. It encourages the growth
of the destination economy by contributing in GDP and by improving their global trade. Each
and every country is increasing tourism in their geographical area because it can leads in overall
improvement of economies all over the world.
