The aim of this project is to develop ERP system for an E-commerce website for the purpose of enhancing
the operations of the company. ERP system will help the company to use a central database for easing the
flow of information and integrating the information of all the departments present in the organization.
Development of ERP system will allow the company to manage the customer details in an effective and
efficient manner. Modification of the present technology will help the company to manage the data in a
strategic manner that will generate more revenue and profit for the organization. ERP implementation will
also cut down the expense and cost of the company in an effective manner. The online retail business will be
able to process in a fast manner and it will also develop schematic operations. The online business will be
able to grow and develop at a fast pace.
The scope of this project is to integrate the information of all the departments present in an E-commerce
organization so that it can provide a single central database for managing customer information as well as
other details in an efficient manner. ERP implementation will help in the process of site management in a
simplified manner. The E-commerce websites will be able to generate high revenues as they will be able to
focus on mainstream tasks. The third party vendor will look after the system maintenance and updates.
Network components, storage database, testing tools and computer devices are the hardware requirements of
this project. Programming platform, testing software, operating system as well as network applications are
the software requirements of the project. The nature of the work for the implementation of ERP system is IT
based. Its main component is to develop software application. The Agile SDLC model will be followed for

The acceptance criteria from the perspective of the buyers are:
User friendly system: An ERP system is considered to be user friendly when the user interface is
simple and easy to be used. It must not consume much time of the users. It must have the ability
to simplify the jobs that are carried out by the employees of the organization.
Effective and efficient functioning abilities of the ERP system: The ERP system will be able to
carry out all the tasks in an effective manner. It must be able to improve the operational
efficiency of the organization.
Cost effective: The ERP system must be affordable for the users. The maintenance cost must be
low.
V. Special Requirements or out of scope items:
The minimum experience that is required by the software developer is M.Tech in IT or CSE. The
software analyst as well as the IT Engineer must be a B.Tech in CSE or IT. ERP systems are susceptible
to various types of security threats and risks. The security threats are malware, phishing attacks, hacking
as well as virus attacks. Therefore another special requirement for this project is the incorporation of
strong security policies and framework in the implementation plan of the ERP system.
