1. RESEARCH QUESTION
 What are the benefits of enterprise resource planning in the information technology firm?
 What are the risk attached with ERP while integrating enterprise resource planning in the
information technology firm?
Significance : This research is conducted for in-depth understanding of the benefits and risk
attached with ERP while integrating enterprise resource planning in the information technology
firm.
2. LITERATURE REVIEW
According to (Costa and et.al., 2016), enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a software
which helps in integrating various function of the organization in a systematic manner to
streamline the process of information across various levels of the organization. ERP helps in
eliminative repetitive process and helps employees of Atlassian IT company to focus on more
important activity which leads too higher operational efficiency, performance and productivity of
the company which helps in effectively accomplishing organizational goals on a timely manner.
(Tian and Xu, 2015) argued that, implementation of ERP software into the organization leads to
heavy investment and is not cost effective. In relation to this, (Mahmud, Ramayah and Kurnia,
2017) sought to analyse that, it is difficult to use ERP and effective training session must be
given to effectively implement such software in the organization. (Saade and Nijher, 2016)
strived to analyse that, ERP gives effective and accurate information to get access to reliable
information which helps in improvising proper communication between various organizational
structure of Atlassian IT company. (Kocaaga and et.al., 2018, August) carried out a study and
establish that, ERP helps in effective decision making and reduces expenditure which leads to
enhanced business performance and secured and organized data.
3. THEORY
 Theory of constraints: This theory comprise methodology and management philosophy
which can be applied by management of the company to consistently achieve goals and

also ensure successful selection and implementation of ERP in the organization (Theory
of Constraints ensures a successful ERP selection and Implementation, 2014).

5. LIMITATIONS
Issues faced while conducting research study was availability of limited resources and
time constraints was the major limitation while conducting the research study. The respondents
were not confident which led to another major limitation while conducting research study
(Fletcher, 2017).
6. RELEVANCE
The data has been collected from relevant sources and all the information presented in the report
is true and fair and gives accurate information in relation with enterprise resource planning.
7. ETHICS
The ethical consideration has been considered which conducting research study and no
harm was imposed on natural resources of the economy. Research was conducted by protecting
confidentiality and anonymity of the subject matter.
