It is hard to find successful implementation of ERP because it needs proper, time,
support as well as planning for whoever is involved within the implementation. The firms
that initiate in implementing ERP face numerous challenges such as functional inefficiencies,
confusion and chaos, unavailability of various vital functions, cross over runs and frustration.
Cloud computing will help in success of ERP implementation by changing numerous
aspects involved in the implementation. The changes that are brought about are in the areas
including the ways by which organizations engage with their customers, the speed in which
they deliver their services as well as products, the way they innovate, the reliability of the
operations along with the overall resiliency (Harwood, 2017). For numerous small, medium
as well as huge businesses, their move in the cloud is carried out for numerous business
reasons, the first and most important reason includes costs involved in lower up front. One
more step that contributes to the successful implementation of ERP includes the speed that is
provided by cloud in the implementation. As per various researchers, it had been reported that
the respondents who had SaaS implementation had reached their first milestone much before
than other enterprises.
Some recommendations that could be implemented by an enterprise that aspires to
implement ERP include alignment of project and change management, this is important
because it would help in dealing with any sort of misalignment among the expectations and
reality as well as the goals. The team must have perfect alignment of budget, commitment
made towards the project, timeline and the scope of the project (Ali & Miller, 2017). One
more recommendation that could be used include vendor partnership. It is very important to
form a close relation with the vendors of ERP that understand the business processes.

would not be able to respond to all the needs of numerous organizations, hence he customers
tend to buy numerous applications from different vendors. Integration of SCM, CRM as well
as ERP can help in improving operations at my school because they help in providing 360
degree view of data (Sun, Ni & Lam, 2015). The ability to monitor all the supplier, partner,
student and some more operations. Information in a particular place would help my university
in operating in a manner that is more effective as well as efficient.
