Background and Current Practice
The use of information technology is needed in every organization irrespective of the size
and type of business. Small and medium sized business can realize the positive effects of
adoption of technology (Schwalbe, 2015). The Enterprise Resource Planning system is a process
of integrating all the important parts of a business and the business operations such as planning,
purchasing, inventory sales and human resource.
Many organizations are currently implementing the enterprise resource planning system
in their business operation and therefore, it is necessary for a medium sized business
organization to implement this project.
Project Aims/Objectives
The project aims as researching the needs of a medium sized organization in order to
implement an enterprise resource planning system in that organization. The objectives of this
project are as follows (Leon, 2014)-
1. To research the needs of implementing an ERP system in a medium sized organization
2. To implement Enterprise resource planning system in the organization.
