The title of the project is development of ERP system.
2. Background and current practice
Earlier the organization uses manual data entry system for managing the operations of
the organization. It is found that with the utilization of manual system, the level of service is
generally dependent on the individuals and this generally put the management to keep training
services for keeping the staffs motivated and for ensuring that they use the correct procedure for
managing data. With the use of manual system, it is very much easy to accidently switch data
and end up facing number of inconsistency related issues which generally can create number of
problems with the customer service. Moreover, reporting as well as checking data is quite time
consuming as well as expensive. In addition to this, the manual system faces number of security
issues and creates problems related with data entry.
The problems that are faced by the organization will be resolved in manual system will
be replaced by ERP system. It is found that the ERP system is one of the significant enterprise
application which further integrates with the different department functions within a single
software application. With the utilization of ERP system, the information as well as data that are
related with the organization can be accessed accurately and with the ability of sharing
information between different components of the organization generally increases. It generally
helps in eliminating unnecessary operations as well as data and further reduces the cost and time
for litigation. Moreover, for improving the performance as well as for saving time, it is quite
necessary to optimize the control as well as analysis of the management decision.
