2REFLECTION OVER THE ESCAPE MASTERS PROJECT
1. Decision Making Process and Evaluation of Ideas for the Team
During the making of decisions for the design of the project, we had discussed the
methods that could be used within. We had also diagnosed the problem over the scenario and
also understood the areas of concern that might be faced by the customers. We arranged different
meetings with the team members in order to understand the areas in which problems might arise.
Based on such kind of analysis, we had decided on ideas and the criteria of selection of the
project proposal.
Based on the design aspects, I would have assessed the quality over each of my team
members. This would help me in understanding the specific qualities that are possessed by my
team members. This kind of evaluation would help me in forming the team and thus help in
designing over the project.
2. Evaluation of Project Design
During performing over the works of the project, we had performed secondary research
over the project. We had researched the factors of sustainability, cost factors and other factors
that would be necessary for design aspects. Before the start of the project, we had designed an
initial proposal for the team.
In the initial project proposal, we had listed out some specifications for the design and the
required cost. However, during the design of the project, we had faced some problems with the
allocation of cost. The cost of resources had increased due to changing scenarios. Based on the
changes in the prices, we had to change the design in order to complete the project as per the
defined scope and prior estimated budget.

3. Challenges faced by the Team
The challenges that we had faced during the project design phase are:
1. We had faced several challenges in finishing the project within the estimated budget as
it was the major constraint.
2. The implementation of customer payments could not be completed as we did not have
efficient support from the service authorities.
3. The completion of the project within the estimated duration was another major
constraint. We had also faced serious issues in designing the functionalities in the application.
4. We also faced problems for defining a proper strategic alliance with Mystery Rooms
and approval of a proper license from the recognized department.
4. Individual Strengths and Weakness apparent for the Process
During the work over the project, the individual strengths and weakness are:
Strengths – Each of the team members were efficient in designing the project plan,
technical plan, and financial analysis. Each of the team members had performed their work
diligently and as per the expectations.
Weaknesses – However, one problem that we faced was during estimation of the budget.
We had not planned for a backup plan in case of financial constraint. Hence, we had to complete
the project within the pre-planned budget and the estimated time.
5. Strength and Weakness of the Team
The strength that the team exhibited while dealing with the project are stated below:

4REFLECTION OVER THE ESCAPE MASTERS PROJECT
1. The team was able to build up a process that deals in building up the application for
Escape masters.
2. The development team was able to provide the Escape Masters with a convenient
application that will perform online registration and has a search option in the app. This
will help to decrease the searching time of the registered customers and decrease rush at
peak time that is on Fridays and Saturdays.
3. The application will have the ability to do a group booking with the application build
by the team. It would help to reduce the rush in the peak season.
4. The application that is built by the team helps to calculate the sales tax automatically
while the customer makes a booking.
5. The application also supports a video consultation to support their customer in case
they have any problem.
The weakness that the team exhibit while dealing with the project is:
1. The application that is being developed is a costly application and the team has to have
available fund with them to develop the system. The team faced a cost related problem while
dealing with the project.
2. The team also was not able to complete the project on time as the project was very
large and team members were not able to complete each subtask in time.
3. The team also faced difficulty in the user testing phase as the project needed user
testing and testing was not applicable in that short period of time.

6. Assess the project
The management team of the project was able to handle the project as the requirement of
Escape Masters. According to the management of Escape Masters, the customers are to have a
fixed time for playing and that is satisfied in the application.
The application also needs to a search button where the application will search for the
customer who is registered for Escape Masters from the database and for that reason to make the
system fast in peak season, the application is needed.
The management wants hassle-free access to the application and also wants that their
customer can access their site from remote areas. The application that is being built also satisfies
this need for management.
The management also wants easy as well a quick access registration and the application
developed supports this feature also.
7. Lessons Learnt
The lessons that I have learnt while dealing with this project are how to complete a
project on time. While building up a project, it is important to keep in mind the specifications of
the project and the requirements that the management wants from the project developer. All
those requirements are to be fulfilled by the project manager. I have also learnt about how to find
the problems related to the existing application and mitigate those problems in the newly
developed system.
I would like to keep the cost factor and project schedule time the next time I develop a
Project. I would first make a proper schedule of the project in my future project so that I can do
the works according to the schedule of the project.
