What is it that determines our attraction to other people?
There are a number of different types of elements that makes a person attracted to
the other. The presence of interpersonal attraction refers to all the different types of the
positive feelings that a person have towards the other. This attraction can generally take a
number of different forms. This may include likings, love lust, friendship as well as
admiration for another person (Feierman, 2018). Each of these different feelings can be
important for the attraction and each has a pivotal role to pay in attracting a person
towards the other. The presence of physical attractiveness, similarity of nature, talking
style, personality as well as reciprocal attitude can also be said to be a major form of
element that causes liking for each other (Feierman, 2018). This apart cultural similarities
is another major area that is also considered to be an important form in the modern day.
Is there any such thing as love at first sight?
The term “Love at First Sight” is a common trend since a long time. Love at first
sight is never possible but it is possible to like someone at the first sight. This liking may
be important as because it may lead to love or it may not. In such case where likings turns
out to be positive to love, the term love at first sight is true (Heintz, 2018). However,
different reports regarding the same has explained that there are some factors that may be
the determinants for falling in love in just one go. They are as follows;
a. One can feel a little queasy upon meeting the other
b. Have a feeling to know each and every thing about the other
c. The focus stays only at the other person
d. A sense of familiarity prevails among them

Evolutionary theory of attraction
The psychological evidence suggests that the differences in sex morphology are
modified by means of the selection through sexual characteristics. Each of the different
males and females try to attract each other by displaying their sexual identity in a proper
and effective manner (Slone, 2016). The display of physical attractiveness is important for
the organization as because it can help to display their social dominance accordingly. The
physical attractiveness of both the males and the females is thus an important
consideration for ensuring earning a partner. On the other hand, the physical attractiveness
of a woman is similarly important for these kind of attraction. Thus the theory of
evolutionary attraction is an important general aspect for human psychology.
Social structural perspectives on attraction
The social stratification has generally a large number of different forms of
resources and opportunities that divides the life chances of children to make their way
towards adultery (Heintz, 2018). All the different elements like race, gender, caste are
different such forms which are used to powerfully organize experiences in a proximate
ecological development. Thus the social perspectives of attraction is definitely a major
area for determination of human psychology.
