Place that I visit whenever I need to Spend Quality Time Alone
Human Beings are said to be social creatures themselves. As such these human beings
themselves also need some quality time or time that they would like to spend alone. For this
reason, the humans go out on vacations or spend time with their friends. These activities the
human beings the much-needed relief from their daily activities.
Just like other human beings, I also as times feel tired and exhausted after a hard day’s work.
It is during these times that I got to spend some quality time alone at the library and the
restaurant located in our locality. It is there I find the mental piece that I seek at such times.
The place that I am talking about is located just about three minutes from my place. It is a
two storeyed building named “Paradise Restaurant and Library” which I am talking about.
The place had a history – it was built by a French official with great love for food and books.
People say that his desire to get both at the same place had urged him to build this
restaurant/library. The building is not much to describe – it is one of those buildings which
the French officials used to live in during the colonial period. The building would give a
pe3rson idea about how French architecture during the colonial period.
It is fully made up of marble structure and is purely white in colour. The sight of the place
always cheers me up because as soon as I approach the place, I get the smell of the delicious
food being prepared in addition to being able to read excellent books in the library in the first
floor of the building.

As soon as I enter the building itself, I find people in the restaurant working to prepare the
food for the guest who come to the restaurant for eating as well as reading the books that are
available for them upstairs. The smells of the delicious food being prepared in the kitchen
also elevates one’s hunger.
Once I have ordered the food which I would to eat, I would get on the lift which would then
take me to the library of the building. It is here that I would the hall-rooms which are full of
books.
It is here where I would come across books of various kinds ranging from the fiction to the
non-fiction to the autobiographies as well as the memories of the famous personalities. Such
books would make anyone feel interested in reading these books if they want to know about
such celebrities.
While I would wait here reading the book that I want, the food will be prepared below. Once
the food is being prepared, the owners of the shop will offer you to either come down or have
the food upstairs while going through the book which I want to.
I always choose the second option because I feel like it is much easier to eat and read than to
move downstairs for eating the book. But at the same time, there is another point here which I
must make to inform the readers. If you would go downstairs for eating, you would also get
the option of having your favourite kind of music being played for you.

This is being done by the owners of the restaurant to make up for the time wasted for eating.
Once the eating is done, I can once again go back upstairs and pick up the book which I left.
The librarian is kind enough to put the book with a bookmark in the pages up till which I had
read. Hence, all this makes it easier for me to read the book after completing my eating.
Another important factor is people are supposed to be quiet while reading books in the
library. This rule is strictly followed here to ensure that other people do not get disturbed.
The facts which I mentioned in the above paragraphs is enough to make the audience
understand the fact that such wonderful services are hard to come across. The hospitality of
the owners of the restaurant is something that needs to be mentioned specially. Also the fact
that they are willing to play your favourite music to make up for your reading time is another
attraction of the place itself. In addition to this, the prices of the food in the restaurant
downstairs. This is also another reason which attracts a large number of people here.
They are always ready to abide by the customer’s demands with a smile. They are willing to
further as putting a bookmark in the pages of the book to make sure the reader of the book
does not face any inconvenience. It is such hospitality which makes me go back there every
time.
In concluding I would like to state that in going back to the restaurant, I find the quality time
alone with all the great books and the delicious food, not to mention the hospitality of the
people there. Thus, I can finally say that the place is great for spending quality time alone
with great books and equally delicious food. That is why, I recommend this great place to
