In the modern types, there have been a huge form of development based on the usage of social
media. The topic based of this essay focuses on the impact of social media. Further topic within
the impact of social media include the massive forms of developments that have been made with
the use of social media, the positive impacts that have been made with the impact of social media
and future forms of impacts on the people.
With the developments of the wide forms of impacts based on the development of social
media, it has allowed the users to remain connected with their friends, family and thus establish a
wide range of connectivity. The explosion in the rise of social media has been mainly been
driven with the prime interest of people of sharing information (Pinker, 2010). The primary
fundamentals of social media is based on marketing and the mechanism based on information
sharing.
Firstly, the addiction of people within social media could be defined as the process of
referring a person who would spend most of their time on the different forms of social media
platforms (Koc & Gulyagci, 2013). The rise of different types of social media platforms such as
Twitter, Facebook and different others have helped in the generation of the interests of the
people in making use of these platforms. There are some people who spend time on social media
to read news and also find some form of entertainment.
On a secondary basis, social media is defined as an online platform or tool that would be
able to provide different kinds of social interaction among the people. In the modern times, when
there are a very large number of social interactions, more teenagers and adults have joined
different forms of social media platforms. The use of social media helps each individual in many
kinds of ways.

to provide people with various informative videos. Educators can post learning videos,

Voice of Reason within Society – Social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook
could be helpful for raising voices. These groups could be initiated by young people for
treating other people on an equal basis and spreading of a positive message.
Bringing Innovativeness and Creativeness – Young people are able to bring new form
of creative ideas. They can also acquire skills, which would be helpful for evaluating and
interpreting different kinds of situations.
Social media also has some form of negative impacts on the society. A lot of addiction of
people towards social media platforms could lead to some forms of negative impacts on the
society. Some negative impacts of social media based on the addiction of people include:
Management of Time – The time spent on social media would not be the same as the
time spent on different forms of works. Nowadays, people spent a lot of time on the
social media to check latest posts, which might affect their quality of work.
Mental Health – Health professionals have expressed their concern over people based
on their mental health condition over the usage of social media. A lot of addiction
towards the social media platform might have a direct impact over mental health of the
employees (Carr, 2010). The mental health of the employees could have a direct impact
over the business of the organisation. The impact of stress could contribute towards the
different forms of mental and physical ailments, which might directly affect the quality
of work.

notifications based on major issues, provide a high level of contact with friends and family.
Based on the discussion from the above topic, it could be concluded that social media
provides a wide range of facilities. These services have helped people to remain engaged and
thus make varied usage of this form of media. The different platform offers the users with a
varied range of facilities that would encourage more people to make use of such kinds of
technological platforms.
