INTRODUCTION
For each and every individual it is important to organise their personal audit as it is useful
for them in order to examine and understand their strengths by which they can accomplish their
opportunities in career and also capable enough to examine their weakness in terms of effective
improvement as due to this they can neglect threats that occur in their future (Bhagra and
Sharma, 2018). Along with this it is also required for them to conduct personal development
planning as it is helpful for them in developing and growing their future in an effective and
prominent way. The below report is classified into two parts as First One cover Audit and
evaluation of key skills of an individual in order to understand the significant strengths and
weaknesses. Moreover the second part of the report includes personal development Research and
planning in which it is conducted for the development of weak skills in a prominent way.

An overview of you skills and development in the team task
For every e individual it is important to organise significant practices that help them in
enhancing and improving their capabilities skills and competences that tends to achieve growth
in their career. The prominent practice also helps them in developing their career opportunities
by enhancing and polishing the significant skills and competencies. When I am pursuing this
report then I am able to understand that there are various skills in which I can invest with the
prominent strength and I also able to know about my weak skills for which I need develop
successful career prominently. At the time of passing the report I had done my work in a team
that helped me in identifying some of the important skills in which I need effective development
and some sort of polishing so that I can develop successful career respectively. Along with this I
identify that there are various skills that are required for effective development and successful
career like decision-making communication research planning organising time management self
discipline and so on. It is because by having all of these skills I am capable enough to organise
my work in an effective way that tends to achieve desired goals in a prominent manner. From the

above skills it is identified that some of them are my strength like time management effective
organisation self discipline and many more. Meanwhile some of them are considered as my
weakness like problem solving communication decision making and many others (Cotronei-
Baird, 2020). It represents that I need to make effective development and improvement in my
skills that are strengths and I need to improve my weaknesses so that I can achieve future
opportunities and success in an effective way. Furthermore I also need to develop all of these
skills as with the help of communication skill I can prominently interact with various individuals
including subordinates customers stakeholders supervises and many more. Along with this in
order to develop problem solving skills I can permanently solve the significant issues of my
colleagues and team members as It helped me in showing by efficiency within the quality of my
work. I also need to develop problem solving skills as I am not able to solve critical problems
and issues of my team members that leads to decrease my value in my team and undertaken as a
barrier for effective development of my performance and career (Griffin and Coelhoso, 2019). In
addition to this I also need to improve my team working skills as currently I am not quite
comfortable in working with various people or in a team but now within much organization work
in a team and due to this I need to develop my team working skills for the effective development
of my career. Prominent improvement of team working skills also tends to develop other skills
like effective coordination understanding and many more. It represents that with the help of
developing prominent skills I can improve my career prominently and also able to develop
relationship with others and work within a team more effectively. There are various skills in
which I am also week and I get to know that I should work on it Like Team skills because at first
when I allotted project within a team I am not so comfortable which is I do not know each and
every member and it can become barrier for me in an effective performance as I am not able to
communicate with my team members.

2.1 Teamwork Skills
Teamwork is an ability which is on the topic list of skills that makes an individual or a
professional employable. The reason behind team working ability being very essential for a
professional to have is the current working scenarios and styles adopted in organizations by
leaders. Employees have to work in teams for accomplishing a common goal and completing the

project or the assignment in time prescribed. Team working abilities will be impacting on the
career of the individual as their promotions and future depends upon their past performances
which the individual have to be focused about (Nisha and Rajasekaran, 2018). While working in
a team it is not only beneficial for the organization as the goal is been achieved but the individual
also be benefited as they enhance their skill sets and learn from others and their abilities in the
team. In my view and experience I believe that I need to improve my team working abilities in
relation with improvising my performances and effectively learning how to work more
potentially in a team. With the help of better team working abilities I will be contributing more to
the ultimate goal of the team. This will automatically improve me as a professional and as a
human being because of the effective use I can make of these team working skills in day to day
situations of personal life as well.
2.2 Communication Skills
The next most important ability which an individual should have is of effective
communication as it allows them to potentially exchange all the required information, their
opinions and views. Effective communication skills not only enable the person to interactive
better but also help them in understanding others perspectives and the news about what they
really want to convey. This is another capability which an individual should have and that makes
them employable in industry and in their respective field. Effective communication skills allows
the person to be more interactive and make sure that they are sharing their opinions in workplace
and effectively representing their potentials in front of seniors and other subordinates (Osmani,
Hindi and Weerakkody, 2018). According to me by analysing my situation at the time of
working with group of people on a similar project I face difficulties in connecting with my team
members and to communicate with them openly. I have an introvert personality which makes me
feel shy while I am exposed to an uncomfortable situation with unknown people and I take huge
amount of time to adjust and be comfortable with new surroundings and with new people. My
introvert behaviour automatically shows my inability to effectively communicate with others in a
team that have potential negative impacts on my I performance in the team amongst others.
Better communication skills will allow me to explore better opportunities and move further in
my career and in my professional setting.

2.3 Gibbs’ Reflection of Specific Experience in the team
Gibbs reflection cycle was established by Graham Gibbs in the 1988 in order to provide
structure to an individual learning from the experience. Through this model and individual reach
to a conclusion about their learnings as when as identified as the lacking areas and improvement
that are needed to be made. Model has a several steps which are are elaborated below:
Description stage is where the individual needs to identify about what happened in the
respective situation that has impact on their performance and their life. Introspect to
myself I have the objective of developing a project in a team but while performing
identified few areas which need to be improved in order to obtain the desired goal.
Feeling is the next stage where I identified my feeling about Being Happy when I
recognises my strengths at the time of work which contributes to my performance. But on
the same page when I get to you know about my weaknesses I feel sad as due to them I
am unable to contribute effectively in the team.
Evaluation easy next stage in which identified that when I am performing with my
strengths I feel happy and satisfied but on the other hand when identify my weaknesses it
affect my performance as I gets demotivated.
Analysis Which I conducted personally showed me the necessity for me to overcome my
introvert behaviour and communicate with my team members for performing better and
efficiently.
Conclusion easy second last stage of the model in which identified that for becoming
more efficient and working effectively in the team I have to develop better
communication skills and improve them for higher performances.
Action Plan easy last stage that showed me the need to develop a plan overcoming my
weaknesses that is weak communication skills and lacking team working abilities that is
needed to improvised so that I can move towards better future as a professional in my
organization.

Identify key skills for development and research/explain the development opportunities
There is need of development of skills for individuals for the achievement of desired
goals in a better manner. Development of an individual is related with a proper Action Plan that
can help them in conducting of all the activities so that there can be achievement of proper
outcomes. The role of action plan is very helpful in understanding the end results where
individual wants to reach. In the present situation analysis I am willing to conduct a team related
task in which I have to analyze some of my present skills and then worked on it to further
improve it. I am willing to work on my one of the weakness that is effect of communication skill
I believe that I am not able to communicate properly in public or many times in situations of
direct communication also I failed to make effective communication with people that leads to
ambiguity and not able to deliver the right value according to with the communication is not
completed. I am just willing to ensure that there can be personal development in terms of
increasing my communication skills that can help in my future growth. Apart from this skill I am
also willing to work towards improving my employability skills that is one of the most important
aspects in life of every individual.
Some of the skills that can help me in enhancing my present employability level are discussed
below:

related to development and learning that consists of internship volunteer opportunities that help
in enhancing the skills of Team Management and effective communication (Succi and Canovi,
2019).
Learning and development: Learning and development opportunities can be achieved by
individual by continuously working towards their own competencies and setting standards for the
purpose of enhancing the present level of weakness. For this there is a need to focus on personal
development of activities this includes learning opportunities that can be used by corporate
internship that will help me in achievement of certain specified goals. Such as this will help me
in learning there is professional communication that is made in organizations and what is the
way to communicate with superior subordinate and colleagues.
Learning opportunities Description
Volunteering It is an effective manner to utilize the abilities as well as
competencies along with the learning of unique things that help in
gaining higher growth and success as well. In addition to this, it is
an effective opportunity for me through which I can gain a chance
to enhance my competencies and applied my skills in an
appropriate manner.
Internship It is undertaken as an effective learning opportunity that is offered
by companies to the students which help them to learn new things
and enhance their skills and knowledge level. By the assistance of
this opportunities, I can learn new skills such as team
management, problem solving, time management, effective

communication which will aid in gaining better opportunities in
future.
Face to face session It is defined as the class-room based courses, workshops as well as
seminars that are targeted towards specific team or the particular
field. In addition to this, it may be delivered by external and
internal facilitators which involved within the development
sessions.
3.1 Volunteering
Volunteering is mainly defined as an effective learning opportunities and a chance to gain
new knowledge and competencies while performing (Pouratashi, 2019). In addition to this, it is
analyzed that volunteering allows an individual to learn new thing and at the same time applied
their skills for performing effectively. It also help an individual to enhance their level of self
confidence that in turn help in future to gain best opportunity in an appropriate manner. It also
help in learning about team work and other practices which is required in order to perform well
in future. By the assistance of this, I can get a chance to enhance skills and competencies and
learn about new skills such as effective communication skills, team work and many more.
3.2. Internship
Internship is defined as an effective learning opportunity that is offered by employers,
managers or higher authorities to the people who have the capability to learn new things and
perform all the activities in an appropriate manner. In addition to this, it is an opportunity that
test an individual capability without developing any particular commitments. It is analyzed by
me that it facilitates me with new experiences, lessons & tools I need in order to gain full time
appearance in coming future. Further, it will give me an opportunity to develop and learn about
corporates, culture and their working system which will further help in attaining better job
opportunities in coming future. One of the significant thing that I can attain from the respective
learning opportunity is spanking knowledge. In addition to this, it also assist me to sharpen my
knowledge and tools used by companies to manage data. Further, it will help in setting a career
path in an effective manner. So, the main effective skill which I lean from my internship is

effective communication and the way to conveyance others. There are also other skills that is
developed through internship is given below:
Team work skills: From my internship, I learn about team building skills and also
about how to perform, coordinate and manage in a team. In addition to this, it help me
to improve my patience level into the situation when perception is not agree with the
other team members.
Communication skills: One of the most essential skill that is require in a person in order to
conveyance and influence others is effective communication skills (Suleman and Laranjeiro,
2018). At the time of internship, my communication and interaction skills was not so good and
by the time it is improved that help me in maintaining good relation with people exist at my
internship. Along with this, it will help me to gain better opportunity in the coming future and
gain higher as well as success effectively.
CONCLUSION
From the above study, it is analyzed that for every individual, it is important to conduct
personal audit skill as it help in gaining insight about strength and weakness in an effective
manner. In addition to this, it help an individual to make improvements on time period that has
positive impact on the growth as well as development. For this, an individual can use various
models like gibbs learning model as it assist in analyzing skills need to develop for the successful
career and understand the experience of a person. Personal development plan involves strength
and weaknesses of a person that help in making improvements in itself. There are various skills
required in an individual in order to gain higher growth and these are effective communication
skills, team management, problem solving, time management and many more. All this can be
achieved by an individual through experiences, internships and volunteering as well.
