5a) Why is it important for you to provide learners with opportunities to practise their English, mathematics, ICT and wider

- How developing these skills can help learners
-Why it is important for all tutors to provide these opportunities, whatever subject they are teaching
It is important as a tutor for me to provide learners with the opportunity to embed English, maths, ICT and wider skills throughout their
learning process.
To live in a technological world it is very much important and necessary for an individual to possess basic knowledge in the field of
English, Mathematics, ICT and wider skills. To survive in the world which is based on a materialistic thing like shopping, groceries,
budgets, food, it becomes crucial to have skills like this. Not only these skills help in their financial issues but also help to maintain a
lifestyle and cope up with others in the workplace. The mentioned skills helps to increase the creativity in an individual, raise a
confidence to face any issue and enhance the working smoothly, effectively and efficiently. These skills make individual self-dependent
both financially as well as emotionally. It helps to increase the personal skills, one’s ability to grow, to react, to work, to learn, to make
decisions and become independent. English and Mathematics are the universal languages which are widely used by people around the
world. These skills help to build the future and open with new opportunities in daily life. Knowing and practising these skills helps to
solve the problems.
ICT and wider skills include the individual ability to learn things and help in enhancing the thinking power. These skill help and offer
progression in their future employment and education.
