Introduction
Skills are the ability of an individual which allows them to effectively perform an activity
achieving desired goals and objectives. For an graduate student it is very essential to have certain
hard and soft skills which will help him to achieve his career goals and become successful in his
career path. These skills will also help him to be successful at university which is first step
towards their future growth and success. This report highlights various skills required by an
student in order to achieve success at university along with their benefits at the workplace. In
addition to this method that can be used by the students in order to enhance their CV content is
also highlighted in this report.

also essential in the workplace.
Skills are defined as the ability of an individual allowing him to perform a particular task
effectively also achieving desired goals and objectives, for a student it is very essential to have
certain skills to be successful at university. There are number of skills present that can be
acquired by the students in order to enhance their performance in the university, university is the
first step in order to improve and enhance new skills for a student which will help in achieving
future career goals and also at the workplace (Anwar and Setyaningrum, 2021). Skills also helps
students to achieve future career goals and become successful effectively. Some of the skills that
can be acquired by the students in order to be successful at university and also at the workplace
are highlighted below:
Communication skills: The communication skills allows an individual to effectively
communicate with other and share their ideas and opinions without any misunderstanding. The
communication skills in one of the most essential skill required by the student to be successful at
the university as it will help them to effectively transfer their ideas with others. For students the
effective communication is essential both in person and online, having effective communication
skill will give confidence to student to present them selves in front of others and communicate
with others (Canché, 2018). In addition to this the effective communication skill will also help

student in their future career profession allowing them to communicate within their team and
outside their team.
Problem solving skills: The another skills required by student to be successful at the
university is the problem solving skills, this skill will allow the student to understand the
situation, find alternate available and then solve the problem effectively. For a university student
he has to deal with number of problem and to continue to grow and develop requires him to
effective understand the problem and solve it effectively. This skill will not only will help
student in his university success but will also help him in his future workplace also through
understanding the situation and finding solution will help employees to avoid any risk and
smoothly carrying out their work (Dumford and Miller, 2018).
Creativity and innovation skills: The creativity skills helps students to find different and
unique ways of doing work or generating new ideas. It helps student to find unique way of doing
work or a particular task. This skill will help student to find creative and unique ideas in any
particular situation which will help them to achieve success at university. The creativity and
innovation skills will also help the student to find creative way of doing work, it will also help
them in their future career goals through brining innovative and creative ideas into the market
(Weingarten and Hicks, 2018).
Time management skills: The time management skills help an individual to manage and
divide their time effectively according to their schedule. This skill will help students to organise
and plan effectively in order to divide time as per specific activity, effective time management
will allow students to work smartly. The student has to complete lots of projects and assignments
on time, this skill will help them to divide their time and complete their projects on time. Time
management skill will help the student to manage their time which will also help them to achieve
future career goals and objectives (Ehlers, 2020).
Technology skills: The another skill is the technology skills which will help the students
to be successful at the university. With increasing use of the technology, it becomes essential for
the students to have knowledge regarding the new technology such as computer, various
important platforms for student which will help them to make their work easier and faster. The
technology skills will help students to be up to date with the changing technology environment
will also be essential for their future career profession. The technology skills will allow the

student to effectively and smoothly work on various technology leading them towards success
and growth.

In order to get desired job and enhance future growth and success it is very essential for
the individual continuously improve their CV content, it is also important to regularly enhance
their CV in order to be updated with the current CV trends which will help the student to get
desired job in the future. CV is one of the main document required in order to get the desired job
by the student in their dream company effectively. In addition to this continuously improving CV
will also offer opportunity of getting an interview effectively (Khamis and Wahi, 2021). The
various recommendation that can be taken into consideration by the students in order to improve
the content of their CV are highlighted below:
Participating in volunteer work: One of the most essential recommendation that can be
consider by the students in order to enhance and improve content of their CV can be participating
in various volunteering program, there are number of volunteer programs conducted on various
subjects and issues, the student can take up this opportunity. The volunteer program will not only
help students in getting the rewards but it will also help in enhancing the content his CV. Many
universities offers various volunteer opportunities online. This will help students to showcase
that they care about others which automatically help them to get their dream job (Mok and Qian,
2018).
Learning new skills: The another recommendation in order to improve the content of CV
is learning new skills. The students can get en-roll themselves in various skills such as learning
how to do Photoshop or learning to create new website. Learning these new skills will help the
students to enhance their chances of getting hired through making their CV more attractive and
effective. Learning various soft skills and hard skills are very essential for the individual to
enhance their confidence and make their CV look good (Pears and Shields, 2019).
Doing any part time job: Student should be active to take up various part time jobs when
ever it is possible as it will show that he is ready to take up opportunities and also has great work
ethics also. Adding various part time jobs to your CV will help him to increase his chances of
getting job effectively as it will allow you to enhance you chance over other students who just
got their degree. Doing part time jobs helps students to explore outside market and learn new
things which will help them in their later career path.

Getting some work experience: The another recommendation in order to improve the
content of CV is getting some work experience, instead of doing some part time job the students
can also join some companies and get some work experience, this can be done through doing
internship as many company offers internship program which are mostly unpaid but will help in
learning a lot of things. Adding work experience in the CV will help the students to improve
their content and get their desired jobs also (Sharma, 2018).
Actively using social media: With increasing use of the various social media platforms
large number of users and even employers are moving towards social media platforms. Creating
strong social media presence on various social media platforms and including link to your CV
will allow employer to get information about your interest and social skills. This will help the
students to improve their CV content effectively.
From the above it is analysed that use of various recommendation mentioned above will
help the students in enhancing the content of their CV, which leads to enhancing their chances of
getting better and desired job. In order to grow and become successful it is essential for the
students to continuously improve their CV using recommendation mentioned (Singh and Singh,
2019).
