Introduction
In this assignment, there will be a discussion about the skills that are required to
manage in the global business context and methods used by different people from a different
culture to identify the skills or weakness of their colleagues. In order to maintain the business
effectively at the global level. The CEO of the company should be entitled to the listening
skills, sensing skills and observing skills (Chandwani, Agarwal & Kedia, 2016).

Skills which are required to lead effectively in a global environment
To purse the success at the global level, the company must conduct research which is
based on the cultural diversified factors of another territory. By conducting this research, the
company will get the idea of how they should operate at the global level in different-different
nations (Lafley, 2009). The management should have communications skills for generating
effective results. The management should also read and understanding the various aspects of
the countries at the global level because every nation has its own policies and cultural
aspects. Aspects like legal policies, FDI regulations, currency’s appreciation or depreciation
value as compare to the home country of the organization, common psychological traits of
the general public of the given country (Johnson & Nandy, 2015).
The employee should have self-motivation skills while operating at the global context
because it will help the employee in working for the extra mile for the organization’s success.
The company can use the reward & recognition program for building motivation in the
employees. The manager should have the skills for delegating the roles and responsibilities to
conduct effective operations. Through transferring, responsibilities and authorities to the
specific expert employees will help the management in saving a lot of their time and efforts.
Employees should also feel trustworthiness because it will make them feel comfortable. As
satisfied employees always bring satisfactory customer results. At last, the management
needs to be the good negotiator for conducing the international exchange transactions like
sale or purchase, deciding import rates, etc (Mumford, Todd, Higgs & McIntosh, 2017).

Reasons why I do not have these skills yet
In order to make the international global context I should have the various skills that
are described above:
Communication Skills
Understanding cultural diversity
Understanding the legal aspects of the given country
Negotiation skills for negotiation at international level
Employee motivation
Right now, I have the communication skills but for my complete transformation, I
need to learn other skills also. For mastering all these skills, I require time and efforts
with the proper goal planning for pursuing these skills. Through these skills, I can
learn about leadership traits and how to manage the business at the international level.
Apart from this, I also need to develop listening and answering skills because it is
extremely important to listen to the words of the clients and help them with the proper
answer. I am deciding to focus on the self-improvement books and online tutorials
videos because through these approaches I will able to manage my schedule and I can
also consult with my teachers if I face any difficulty in learning.

Office colleagues from different culture identified my skills shortage
In my office, people work from the different-different cultural diversities and
everyone has unique skills. Thus, my colleagues have identified few skills shortage in me
such as I become nervous when I have to speak in front of a large audience. They also
identified that I get distracted sometimes and I should practice for the meditation and yoga
sessions in order to overcome this challenge. My office colleagues also mentioned that I need
to think for positivity more and I should speak positive affirmations to myself because that
will send the positive signal to my subconscious mind which will eventually create many
psychological and physical benefits for me. Thinking and emerging positive though pattern
help in conducting effective working practices, keeps the mood calm and it also helps an
individual to act with a confident personality. My colleagues also suggested to me that I
should keep away from the negative people and I should not convey negative affirmations to
me. Continuously thinking for the negative behaviour emerges many mental diseases such as
depression, anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, etc (Saxena, 2015).

Conclusion
It has been concluded that in order to achieve global success, the company needs to
adopt cultural diversity for fascinating the population of the given country. The management
of the company also needs to study for all the legal aspects and policies related to the FDI of
the given country to conduct effective and efficient operations.
