INTRODUCTION
Study skills are those skills which are required by the students to learn and take the information
in a correct way. The development of skills in students helps them to gain good grades in the
exam. Students will get the information correctly only when they are having correct skills so that
they can become master in those topics and skills(Shen and Ho, 2020). There are different
techniques which are available for the students to learn and develop these things. When such
type of skills will be developed by the student then they will become confident and will be able
to achieve success in their life. It is important for the teachers also to provide the students with
all the information that are related with academic learning. This report will include skills which
are required in the University to become successful and their importance in the workplace and
five recommendations which will help the students to improve the CV' s.

Five skills which are required to be developed by the students for becoming successful at
University and explain why it is important for the workplace
For becoming successful in the University it is important for the student to gain good grades so
that they can achieve the success. But for achieving success with the good grades it is also
important to develop some of the academic skills which can help the student to make studies
more easier and informative(Kardipah and Wibawa, 2018). The reason for this is that if the
students are not able to gain things properly then they would not be able to achieve success in
their studies. Below are some of the skills which are important for the students to become
successful in their University-
 Communication skills- Communication skills are important for the students the most
because if they are not good in making communication with other students and teachers
then they would not be able to achieve success and they would not be able to gather
more information. Students face lots of problems in getting any topic easily because no
students is intelligent and there are certain topics which are difficult to encounter.
Students also have to communicate with other classmates for getting and receiving more
information.

 Problem solving skills- Problem solving skills is the most important one which helps
the students in many ways. Problem solving skills is helpful because students have to
face different situations and not all the situations have solutions so such type of skills
becomes very important for them(Bowman and et. al., 2019). This skill will be helpful
for the students in their future time also because in the workplace employees have to face
difficult situation and for that it becomes very important to provide the solutions which
can work the best. This skill is important because sometimes students might not be
provided with nay other help and they have to do it on their own.
 Time management skills- Time management skill is the most important one because
there are many things which the students have to do and this requires managing the time
in a proper way. Time management skills makes the person a good manager which is
helpful for them in getting success in their career. Students usually takes this skills to be
less important but in the end it is all about getting success in the University. Successful
students knows how they have to manage their time and have to study timely. For this
they can make the planning of their exams with its deadlines that at which time period it
is required to be completed and many more.
 Research skills- Research skills are those skills in which the students knows that in
which way they have to collect the information. This is the most important and the
essential one in which students gets the ways as in which manner they have to collect the
information and how the collected information can become effective(Aker, 2019).
Students have make notes for their exams and these study material are not just useful in
the exams but also in their career. Research skills are important for their career also
because they have to collect and make research on different things. Self management skills- Self management skills are the most important one for the
students because this helps them to become organized in their work. For the studies it is
important for them to be managed because it helps them to become responsible as to
which ever work they will be doing(Soffer and Nachmias, 2018). Self management is
not only useful for their studies but if the students will adopt such thing then this will
help them in their career also.
Importance for the workplace-

These skills are useful in the workplace because at that time individuals requires to be
self managed in their work because the more they will be organized the more it will be helpful
for them in their success. Not just this it is also important for them to develop the time
management and problem solving skills. Because if they will manage the time then it would
become helpful for them in managing their work properly(Farrukh Lee and Shahzad, 2019).
Five recommendations which can help students improve their content in CV' s
There are many things and points which the students have to work on the most so that they can
make improvements in the CV. There are some of the recommendation which students have to
focus on the more and those are discussed below- Trim the excess- Making a CV requires a short and simple things with no extra points
and notes. The reason for this is that it is not a surety that employers are having time to
read this of each and every individual so it is important for the students to include that
points and sentences which will be useful for them in their selection to the jobs(Nisha and
Rajasekaran, 2018). When this are given in a short manner then it looks very pleasing and
easier for the interviewer to read the CV. Using quantifiable statements- It is important in the CV that the person is adding some
numbers which can either related to their job experience or the number of events which
they have conducted which is related with their jobs. Quantifiable statements makes it
very easy for the employer to read and make the comparison of the things easily. When
the things are written in numbers than at that time it becomes very important to write
things in numbers. This is helpful for the employees to compare the results with the
another one as comparison becomes easy. To include two or more pages- The average length of any resume is two but it is also
important to include more than two pages if the CV needs to better and innovative then
others. In these pages all the things are included and comparing things with the present
time it is very important to do such things because single page resume would not include
anything about the person(Troussas Krouska and Sgouropoulou, 2020). More than one
page will like to include all the things which will look good when the employer will be
checking on to the things.

 Check grammars and punctuation- It is very important for the person that before writing
the statements and the summary in CV it is important to check the grammar mistakes.
The reason for this is that it has been seen that CV usually include those sentences which
are wrong in the punctuations or sentence formation. This does not creates good image in
the mind of employer about the person who will be giving the interview.
 Using keywords related with the specific jobs- The main reason why person gets selected
for the specific jobs is that they use the keywords which are more catchy and are relatable
with that of job for which they are applying(Seli and Dembo, 2019). This helps in
looking the CV more presentable and this can be shown with the help of job
advertisements for which they are looking.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that study skills are important for the students
for grabbing and retaining the things in a right way. If these skills will be learned by the students
then at that time they will be able to manage their studies and other things so that they can
achieve things of their wish. For learning these skills students have to develop strategies in which
they can gather new information.
