Introduction
The business ethics are the form of attributes that are being followed by a particular business to
maintain the proper decorum of the company. This is also known as corporate ethics. This deals
with the ethical principles and morals that the business should follow. However some time the
business faces certain issues relatable with this ethics. All those issues can relatively cause
hindrance on the image of the company and its productivity (Albu & Mandru, 2017). Here in this
paper the ethical issues faced by Disney Company are being discussed on a much vivid manner.
The paper also analyzes the working condition of the Disney Company in the present scenario by
crossing several hurdles in the global market. This ethical issues can be on respect of customer’s
complaints, some discrimination issues, regarding some sustainability disaster and also relatable
with employees. Disney is a very renowned company in the world in respect of entertainment
sector. It is considered to be one of the biggest names in family entertainment and as a media
enterprise (Amakobe, 2016). The company always approaches for some innovative and creative
minds that help in the up gradation of the company. While doing this the company has to go
through several ethical memorandums. The ethical behavior and the corporate social
responsibilities usually bring significant benefits to the business and respectively to its other
stakeholders (Bassell & Fischer, 2015).
Portfolio 1
Yes, Walt Disney is an ethical company as it stands out very evidently to its ethical
programs. The Walt Disney Company is considered to be the most entertainment
organizations. The company places their maximum emphasis on the Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR). The company itself maintains a Code of Conduct that means it
covers the entire issues related to how workers should behave and conduct themselves.
Therefore, it can be said that Disney Company is an ethical company ("business ethics",
2019).
In the last 20 years Walt Disney has faced various ethical issues regarding the purchase
of Marvel then establishing of the zero pollution Shanghai Disney Park and also to make
shanghai Disneyland Park more acceptable across the world. After acquiring of the
Marvel, Walt Disney has faced challenge in case of comic character. Actually the comic

characters of marvel were quite masculine in voice and look more like adult with more
violence (Businessethicscases, 2013). Whereas the Disney company characters were like
soft cartoon character which were gentle and provide enjoyment to the children’s and
other customers. After acquisition with Marvel, Disney has started playing the character
of Marvel in their network channel. Due to its more like adult character within the film
and massive violence this has impacted the customers of Shanghai Disneyland Park. This
has lead to a negative impact over the Disney valuable customers especially on
children’s. Moreover Shanghai Disneyland has declared to maintain environmental
cleaning standard in order to get rid of pollution. It has also been noticed that near about
90% of the fish in Changsha Bay has died due to pollution. Coming to the point of
acceptance of Shanghai Disneyland Park across the world had faced a massive challenge.
It is because of cultural difference between of America and Chinese. Whether the people
of America will accept Shanghai Disneyland Park as a part of Walt Disney Park or not
has become a huge matter of challenge. Thus, it can be said that these were some of the
ethical challenges that has been faced by the Disney Company (csrhub, 2019).
Within the case of acquisition of Marvel with Shanghai Disneyland Park there were some
ethical parameters as well as unethical parameters. The ethical parameter within this case
is the acquisition of Marvel with Shanghai Disneyland Park in the year 2009, December
31. Shanghai has acquired with the Marvel with an intention to attain more customers as
well as to accept their Disneyland Park by the millennial across the globe. If the company
takes wrong steps regarding this then they may lose some of the potential value of Marvel
Franchise and their characters. However the unethical aspect that could be said is the
purchase of Marvel and playing their adult comic character in their network. This had
lead negative impact over children’s and also had confused their valuable customers.
Moreover this kind of movies hit the big screen and some day the audience will become
saturated. These were the ethical and unethical aspects that involved within the case of
acquisition of Marvel and Shanghai Disneyland (WILLIAMS, 2019).

films of the company is found to be changes. The capturing of the appropriate nature of the
viewers is essential at the young age. It is filling their minds with the unattainable standards and
also is framing the stereotypical societal norms. The exposing of the children to influence their
films are corrupting the minds of the children. It is also creating impact on the thinking ability
which is leading to the development of the individual mindset. For example, In the movie the
Little Mermaid, people overlooked the fact that the story is creating impact children. The
children were found to be disobeying their parents and are becoming abandon from their
families. The involvement of the cute boy in the store is creating influence on the minds of the
children. Apart from this, the simple minded nature is seen which is influencing them at the
young ages. Disney also teaches the girls to be too pretty in the form of the Disney princess so
that they have to look size-0. The Disney is facing the long term challenges and also the bottom
line impact which is developed on the Disney. It is creating impact on the children consumers
who are involved with the company (Thewaltdisneycompany, 2018).
The people are also constantly influenced by the advertisements carried out by the company. The
variations in the body types are represented in the film advertisements which are leading to the
development of the problem. The cultivation of the self-depreciating mindset is due to the
development of the processes leading to the insecurity and the self-loathing life. Due to this
reason, children are being brainwashed so that it can be easily able to create impact on the
activities carried out by the Disney (Lee & Iv, 2011). Apart from this, the changes in the facts
and the figures are leading to the development of the impact on the nature of the activities. The
nature of the approaches used in the advertisements is identified to be unethical. Due to this
reason, the negative influence is created on the organization which will be creating impact on the
activities. Apart from this, the Disney movies will be creating an impact on the other three things
which are the hideous characteristics, overweight and old fashioned villain characters. These are
seen to be reflecting the unattractive nature of the people who are praising the appearances as
identified in this study. Due to this reason, the personality of the Disney films are found to be
impressing the Disney roles as identified in this study. The personality of the Disney films is
found to be reflecting the development of the impact on the minds of the children. It is seen that
the ugly people are evil in nature (Thewaltdisneycompany, 2012). The social is unattractive
which is identified to be creating impact on the study. The enhancement of the activities is seen
to be impacting the personality development of the children. The personality development is

reflecting the conveying of the good and the pure activities in an ethical way for mitigating the
unethical nature of the influence created on the employees. Due to this reason, it is leading to the
development of impact on the children as it is identified to be impacting the nature of the

intern had posted the wrong doings of the company Disney against its loyal customers. The
intern had posted a picture on tweeter. The picture was of a sign that is being posted in the
employee break room about the pertinence of the alligators. During the internships the interns
are being trained to tell the visitors that they have no clue about alligator’s presence in the
Magic kingdom Tom Sawyer Island. This is being said to the interns as the company does
not want to decrease their visitors and at the same time do not want to afraid the visitors.
The consequence that the intern faced was that she had to finish her internship at an early
stage. She was terminated from the internship. Although her identification was confiscated
and she was very efficiently escorted from the Disney park. She told that when she acted
likewise she knew that she has to face vulnerable consequences. But she thought about the
visitors and could not stop herself from sharing this. Although because of Orlando Sentinel
the Disney had to rehire the intern to complete her internship (G, 2016). In a present time
some reports have said that the intern had some genuine thoughts and the company‘s
firefighters are advised to feed the alligators in the Disney park property. The company has
removed the sign and not a real consequence was being faced by the company. As the
company denied about the alligator in the park. Although to some extent the company faced

some legal issues and so they had to rehire the intern. To some extent the visitors trust is
