based on advocacy, education, communication, service resource identification and effective
service facilitation. Some of the most important principles that guide case management are
beneficence, justice, autonomy and non-malfeasance (CCMC’s Case Management Body of
Knowledge (CMBOK)", 2019). Case management is a practice that is especially very important
in the context of profession of health and human services. In the given case Francesca and her
children are facing many social and financial difficulties. Francesca herself is suffering due to
continuous drug use. She got fired from her job as a result of missing job days due to her
excessive addiction to cocaine and heroin. As a result of the same she was also forced into
prostitution for supporting herself. However, things began to get worse for her as she gave birth
to a son and a daughter within two years. After the second child she was arrested in 2010 and

spent two weeks in jail. She had to gain custody for her daughter and even went homeless after
that.
In regards to the issues that are faced by Francesca, there is a need to employ the
principles of case management. There is a significant need to address the vulnerable aspects that
are connected with this case. A very important requirement is to advocate the support systems for
the client. It is also important that facilitation of service is provided for the client. The client’s
health becomes very important in this regards. The client needs to be provided health care not
only for herself but also for her daughter. The focus should be on the provision of situational
support to the client. This includes addressing the physical, emotional, financial, psychosocial

daughter Veronica and her newborn daughter Klarissa are most important. There is a need to
bring the entire part of the family that is living together is a care home. Currently, Francesca,
Veronica, Klarissa and Manuelo need to live together in a safe environment.
