INTRODUCTION
Debate is a formal discussion on a particular topic it can be in public meeting or
legislative assembly in which different part are opposing with each other as they are usually
point out their point of view. This report is based on self reflection bout debate challenge and
hotel challenge.
Should an Internation business follow HOME or HOST country norms for ethical issues
In toady's context I believe that ethical issues are related with employment practices in
many situation. As condition of host country is must inferior that home country as it is a
multinational home nation. Herein, I believe that home country norms are much effective that
HOME country. In such situation people are more aware about their HOME country rules and
regulation as well as ethical issues what are need to done and what are not ethical in nature.
Moreover, if an individual is operating with business in different country can face ethical issues
before opening up foreign operation. Apart from this, I can say that human rights are still denied
in many nation such as freedom of speech, association, assembly, movement are not universality
accepted by different nation at worldwide. This unequal consideration is depending upon on the
ethnicity which is not illegal right from the beginning. This I can say that it is still a major ethical
issues in international business. As rights and responsibilities are taken for granted in other
nation where in home nation it is not taken into consideration. Though multinational corporation
have power in controlling overall resources and ability to move production from home country
to host country. Though I can say that many philosophers argue that the power of comes from
social responsibilities for multinational in order to give something back to the societies that
enable them to prosper and grow. Apart from this, working standard of Host country is positive
in nature as outsourcing of production cost usually result in lower cost of labour moreover, it
also brings out social and ethical issues in an effective manner. Generally, working with host
country is worse as an individual are abided with their rules and regulation as well as ethical
consideration that are necessary to be maintained. Moreover, I have seen that within host country
people coming from different nation are treated to work for longer hours which sometimes
become uncomfortable and hazardous environment with inadequate protection. Moreover,
according to my point of view working with HOME country are more appropriate that going to
work at Host country. As home country is much comfortable for an individual as he/ she dose

not have to face any kind of burden in their work life. Moreover, an individual is aware about
their ethical norms and regulation so that individual feel free and comfortable in earning their
daily needs.
Kolb's learning style:
In kolb's learning style majorly four main important attributes consist in it that are as
follows:
Concrete experience:
In that step new experience or situation should be encountered, in case of home country
should be favourable because an individual have personal attachment with it and their personal
experience should be encountered in proper way.
Reflective observation of the new experience:
In that particular importance for any inconsistency in experience and understanding. In
case of home and host country I feel that sometimes biased ness create while implement results
in organisational development.
Abstract conceptualization:
In that aspect reflection gives rise to an new idea or modification comes in to existing
products and person learned from their own experience. In context of host and home country
debate I realised that a new idea comes in mind of people and compel with the experience that
come in mind. In case of home and host country debate they are focus on giving experience to
the consumer base so that they can give their best in organisational development and
enhancement.
Active experimentation:
In that stage the learner applies the new idea or concept after applying the concept that
world around them to see what happens. In that I realized that after coming new idea or concept
in mind after applying it into practical way so that consistency should be maintained in
organisational development and enhancement.
Hotel challenge
In this case few people came up together to open a new hotel that is Palm Beach hotel
that was located in Thailand with a prom that “ your comfort is our priority”. Herein, the idea of
the members to make profit in competitive market place by offering best quality of goods and

services. But the fail in this idea due to lack of team work between themselves. For such purpose
I believe they should adopt Tuck-man's team work theory for effective result. This theory consist
of forming, norming, storming and Adjourning
Forming: In this stage members of team ned to from a effective team in order to meet up
their requirements which are necessary to perform. Though it some times become critical in
order to provide appropriate structure and direction for team.
Storming: During this stage it is common for team members to challenge each ot6her
so their maid motive can de attain in an effective manner. For such purpose an organisation need
to hire skilled and knowledge employees who can handle each and every salutation in an
effective manner.
Norming: In this stage each and every team member come close with each other so that
effective result can be achieved within stipulated period of time. Moreover, in this stage each
and every one can focus on their main motive as well as they can move together in same
direction so that gaols and objectives can be achieved in an effective manner.
Performing: In this stage each and every team members are comfortable with each other
and group of people. Additionally, in this stage both interpersonal and structural issues can be
settled down and support each other to perform their task in an effective manner.
Adjourning: At this stage team get dissolved off it the motive of a team work is
accomplished. Thus, it is the last stage of team forming.
Thus, with the help of this team work theory Palm Beach hotel can overcome with the issues
where they were lacking behind. If they have been adopted this theory with stipulated period of
time than they can be profitable in competitive marketplace.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it has been concluded debate plays an effective role as it help
an individual to gain knowledge on a particular topic in which different part are opposing with
each other as they are usually point out their point of view. It has been seen that people are
having positive attitude towards home country is much beneficial for working as people are
aware about the norms and regulation as well as ethical issues are known. Moreover, the other
has been identified that palm beach were facing problem as they were lacking behinds in team
work.
