TASK 3
As per the scenario selected electronic business name Alba Consumer Electronic is being
given an opportunity to be promoted by a popular websites at a discounted rate; however this
website company has been founded of treating badly their employees badly by adopting the
practice of bullying and harassment.
There is a situation of ethical dilemma in this case as on the one side if the business
associates with this company then it will create bad impact on the employees as well as on the
brand image of the company (Yao, Perlmutter and Liu, 2017). On the other hand it will increase
the popularity of the business in the market. Thus, it can be stated that Alba Consumer electronic
will not associate with the business which is accused of treating the employees badly.
This is because in case if Alba Consumer electronic get associated with websites just for
the sake of promotion at discounted rate then it will negatively impact on business as it will
impact upon the social, environment and equality value as well. However this association in the
short run can provide benefit to the company by increasing the popularity of their business, but
in the long run it will generate negative impact on the overall brand popularity of an
organisation. As in the modern world customers don't look into one aspects but on the overall
performance of an organisation like contribution towards society, way of working and many
more such aspects. In this situation or ethical dilemma, the company not only make focus on the
benefits of the organisation but also make concentration ion the issues of people or employees so
that they will make contribution in overcoming the organisational issues. The firm should
provide an effective and friendly environment and the work is allocated according to the skills
and competencies of workers. So that they will not face problem of bulling and harassment.
For example: One such legal case which has taken place in 1971 by Griggs v. Duke
Power Co. where American and African job applicant were being discriminated on the baisis of
color.
Another reason for not associating with website company is that it will create bad
impact on the employees also. It will lower down the morale of workers as they don't want their
company to be associated with the type of company who do not treat their employees in a well
manner. Apart from this if the company get associated with such company who practice bullying
and harassment on employees then it will create negative impact upon the employees of Alba

Consumer electronic too because it is against the social values of firm of which they may even
leave the organisation and which will leads in the increase in the employees turnover.
