Identification of ethical dilemma
As per the given three videos, there is a situation in front of the management where one of the
employees Ken signed a contract related to the new system of the organization. Ken resigned
from his post without providing any prior information about this. It created a huge difficulty for
the organization as the management and other employees do not know about the new system
launched by Ken. Ken was not able to provide the work on right time and he resigned also which
developed a critical situation for the respective organization.
The managers also did not take any kind of feedback from Ken which made a communication
gap between the employees and employers. It made a critical situation and it also explained the
situation of ignorance of organizational responsibilities by Ken. As per the code of conduct of
honesty, the communication process between employees and employers must be honest and
clear. The employees do not try to do any kind of fraud, cheating and stealing with the
organization. These situations are against the code of conduct of honesty. An employee must try
to remain honest with their respective organization.
As per the honesty related code of conduct, Ken should not have agreed to do a work which
cannot submit on the right time. There was a need to ask or consult with the senior person of the
organization. The senior and experienced people of the organization may provide him better
solutions for any kind of problem which were faced by him during his work process. it was a big
mistake made by him. The major reason which increased this kind of situation is the
communication between the two parties of the organization (Deek, 2015).
However, the unethical act which was taken by ken is giving the resignation from his current
working position. It was an act which describes the dishonesty of Ken towards his organization.
Ken did not serve any kind of serving period and not discussed anything with the managers also.
Thus, at the time of collecting the salary, Ken faced the financial issue as the organization
refuses to pay him any kind of salary and finish his account. The bank also refuses to pay any
kind of amount to him.
It was a big unethical action taken by Ken as the managers also wanted to know about the

resignation from the job position and the issues could be soughed by the mutual understanding of
employees and employers. Besides, the organization also faced some issues related to the
ongoing project of Ken as they have no idea about the system selected by can for the project. The
project also delayed just because of Ken and his unethical activities. The other employees also
needed some time to understand the situation and using the new system (Bhui, 2018).
The code of conduct of honesty explains the moral behavior that should be involved in the
employees of the organizations. It is also professional conduct which includes integrity,
truthfulness, straightforwardness, etc. These qualities must be included by Ken in his working
activities. The ignorance of these factors can destroy the image of an organization.
So, it can be said that the dishonesty of employees can provide a negative influence on the
organizational and management culture. The management must track the different activities of
their employees and take the feedbacks of their work regularly. The management should try to
supervise the works which they had assigned to their employees. They need to complete the
work before its deadline (Huang, et. al., 2018).

Analysis of ethical dilemma
As per the case study which was provided in three videos the employer faced a critical ethical
dilemma because of the dishonesty of an employee. Ken was an employee of the organization
and he signed a contract without any communication with his senior one. The difficulties started
for the organization when Ken resigned from his post without providing any prior information.
There was a chance where Ken was able to provide the knowledge about the new system to the
employees and the employer but there was not this kind of step which was taken by him. It was a
kind of dishonesty with his organization. Because of this unethical step, the organization faced a
financial and critical situation and Ken also faced a situation which crested a financial issue for
him. The organization ignored to pay any kind of salary to him as he cheated with the
organization. Ken was the main defaulter for the organization as he given an immediate
resignation from his current job position. The situation creates a disaster situation n for the
organization as they were not able to understand the new system launched by Ken (Clarke and
Boersma, 2017).
On the other Ken also faced some issues because of his dishonesty with the organization with
whom he was working. The issue of salary raised for Ken as the company and bank both denied
to pay any kind of amount to Ken. Ken did not get any kind of better response from the bank and
organization. ken has done a mistake with the organization which created issues for them. In
replacement of this, the organization also has taken strong actions against Ken. The issues raised
because of the lack of communication.
It was not only the mistake of an employee, but the employers were also responsible for this kind
of mistake. In the respective organization, the employers did not try to get the feedbacks of their
employees regarding their working progress. They did not try to maintain better communication
between the employees and employers which became a cause of the difficult situation. There is a
lack of belief where Ken did not believe in his senior employees and have taken a wrong step.
The employers also had a mistake that they did not try to directly interact with their employees
and it became the cause of dissatisfaction of their employees towards them. The better
communication process of employer and employees has the power to solve any kind of conflicts
included in the organization (Bernstein and Sondheimer, 2018).

As per the case scenario, it could be concluded that the factor of honesty is needed for an
organization as it plays a vital role in organizational activities. It can be said that both the party’s
employers and employees were not provided their proper efforts for the organizational strategies
which became a cause of this kind of situation for the organization. The ethical behavior of both
parties was not good. Both parties faced financial issues and positional disaster at a similar time.
Thus, the employees and employers need to change their behavior towards the employees and
the organization. The employers should try to contain an open behavior with the employees for
making them comfortable about talking for an issue which they are facing in the organizational
environment. It is the important responsibility of an employer to ask about the working
conditions of an employee. The employers should try to know about the exact issues which are
increasing in the organization. As per the case study, it can be recommended that there was a
lack of honesty and the employers of the respective organization needed to improve their trust in
the minds of their employees.
There must be a code of conduct which is related to the honesty of employees. The respective
organization should try to maintain a culture where the employees can trust senior management.
The employee Ken was also an important abstract of this kind of situation. It can be
recommended that there are some ethical responsibilities of the employees who are working in
an organization. The employees must try to execute their honesty towards their organization
because it is their responsibility. The employees should try to maintain a schedule for their task
and if they feel any kind of difficulty than they should try to ask about it from their senior
employees. The employers need to improve communication and must try to reduce the gaps in
the communication process. The dishonesty with an organization can destroy the future of an
employee and can create a negative image of him in front of the other organization. So, it is
important for both the parties to maintain a better communication system and having faith in
each other.
