AI Summary
This essay critically examines the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence, delving into the core principles and potential consequences of its application. It begins by defining AI ethics, distinguishing between roboethics and machine ethics. The discussion explores four classical ethical theories: utilitarianism, deontological ethics, contract theory, and virtue ethics, analyzing how they apply to AI. The essay presents arguments for and against the ethical use of AI, considering its impact on job displacement, data privacy, and the potential for misuse. It highlights AI's capabilities in improving daily life, enhancing efficiency, and automating tasks, while also addressing the risks of reduced human involvement and the possibility of unethical applications like missile automation and data theft. The conclusion synthesizes the arguments, acknowledging both the advantages and ethical challenges, emphasizing the importance of ethical frameworks to guide AI development and use.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS ETHICAL
Introduction
Artificial intelligence includes ethics that is a part of the technological ethics that are
mainly related to the robots and other intelligent artificial technologies. There are main two
types of ethics that related to artificial intelligence. That include the roboethics that include
the moral behavior that include the construction, design and use of the artificial intelligent
machines (Hamid, 2016). The other ethics is the machine ethics that includes the moral
behavior of the moral agents of the artificial intelligence. These artificial intelligent machines
should not violate the dignity and human right of the peoples. The ethics of artificial
intelligence ensures that right and privacy of the users are not violated (Russell, Dewey, and
Tegmark, 2015).
Discussion
There are four classical ethical theories that include the following:-
Utilitarianism:- It mainly contribute to the actions that are taken for the well being and
happiness of the population. The main aim of employing the idea of utilitarianism is that it
maximize the utility that is often defined in terms of the well being and helping a major
population. These ethical theory look after the interests of all the being equally. When
utilitarianism since evaluated in the context of artificial intelligence that help in improving
the daily life of the large group of people (Mason, 2017). They reduces the human effort in a
particular task making their life more easy. Artificial intelligence mainly substitute the
humans with the machines. These also help in reducing the errors that are caused by the
human. There can me more errors within a task that is performed manually. Employing the

using the artificial intelligence as it reduced the availability of the work that are available to
the people. The people will deprive of work if they get substituted by the machines (Etzioni
& Etzioni, 2017).
Deontological ethics :- This falls under the normative theory of ethics which includes that
weather a action that is undertaken is wrong or right. These is used to check the morality of
an action that is right or wrong is checked by following some sets of rules and the
consequences of the action is not taken into account. These mainly based on the ethics that
include rules, obligations or duty of an individual. These includes some protocols that an
individual need to keep in mind while performing a task. Artificial intelligence help in the
task simplification by the use of digital intelligence that follows set of protocols that are
needed to be followed. Automation is achieved by artificial intelligence hat help in the
execution of a task more easily (Burton et al., 2017).
Contract Theory:- The theory ensures that people who are living in the society behave in
accordance to a moral behavior and political behavior. This enables the people to follow the
moral values by their own choice without the intervention of the other (Yampolskiy, 2015). A
valuable framework that ensures the social harmony is ensued by the contract theory. It also
supports the peoples in doing their day to day activities thus enabling them to perform their
work in a quick pace. It also help many industries in their functionalities operation and doing
some tasks that are impossible for the human beings to do (Baum, 2017). These helps the
society in many aspects. The artificial intelligence help the people in the medical sectors.
These also helps in doing the work in the industries that are risky for the people. These help
to protect the life of the peoples. Automatic robots can perform many heavy tasks that the
human cannot do or even if they manage to do the task that can bring threat to their lives
(Bryson and Winfield, 2017).

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS ETHICAL
Virtue ethics:- This type of ethics mainly focuses on the virtue of the characters and virtue of
the mind. The nature and the problems that are related to the virtues are discussed in the
virtue ethics. These look after that how virtues are applied in the real life context. These
ethical theory explains that how the virtue are applied in the real lives. The virtues in real life
includes being honest and generous. When virtual ethical theory is applied to the artificial
intelligence it becomes more ethical. These ensures that the task could be performed easily
these do not violates any ethics (Boddington, 2017). However artificial intelligence is also
used for creating missiles and automation of various tasks that are not required. These can
give rise to many unethical activities in the places that incorporate artificial intelligence in
their system. Artificial intelligence is also used for the purpose of stealing of the data in many
organizations. Many types of worm attack are influenced by the use of artificial or machine
intelligence. It also increases the probability of the system to get hacked (Russell et al.,
2015). However by the inclusion of the virtue ethics the ethical dilemma can be removed and
the application of the artificial intelligence will be easier.
Conclusion
From the above report it can be concluded that there are several advantages of using
artificial intelligence as it provide several facilities to the people. The intelligent machines
help in the operation of many industries and also help an individual in their regular work. It
help to reduce the errors in different types of operation. However artificial intelligence also
violates some of the ethics s it reduce the availability of work to the peoples and also
encourages several criminal activities. However there is a significant amount of advantage of
using the artificial intelligence that enhance the standard of work that are performed in a
regular basis. To carry on with the different activities of an organization it have to follow the
different ethics and have to run the functioning according to it. Ethics will help in the growth
of the organization and will help in avoiding illicit activities within the organization.
