of a harassment or bullying through the means of the internet [2]. This form of online bullying or
harassment has various ethical implications as it is a known fact that in no way can bullying or
harassment be termed as ethical. In the following report, thus, it would be analyzed in what ways
online bullying or cyber-bullying can be termed as unethical by identifying two of the ethical
issues and analyzing them in terms of their impact of business and society. They would further
be evaluated and justified later in the report.
2 important ethical issues
When an event of Cyber-Bullying appears, there are various ethical laws that are broken
at the same time and these would further be analyzed with two of the ethical issues that is going
to be discussed in details as follows:
Barging into the individual privacy
It has been always termed as an unethical and unlawful when the privacy of an individual
has been harmed or barged into due to unethical and unauthorized sources. There are various
ways by which malicious attackers barge into the private accounts of individuals and harass them
online by jotting out the intricate data about them. This is a major ethical implication that
violates various legalities about the maintenance of intricate personal information of an
individual. According to the ACS codes of Ethics, this violates the law of Protecting the Primacy
of the Public Interests [1]. This law states that above all, the personal, sectional or business
interests should be placed as the priority. However, this law is violated when the intricate data of
the people are barged into due to the malicious cyber-bullies.

Honesty in representation of skills
According to the ACS codes of laws, the representation of skills should be ethically and
morally correct, as in it should not be utilized to cause harm to any individuals or business
groups. However, the act of cyber bullying deals with the violation of the same law [3]. The
unethical hackers and the cyber bullies are the ones with impeccable skills of hacking and
knowledge of the cyber world. Rather than using it for some valuable purpose, they utilize it for
harassing the people that they are not authorized to, thus enunciating dishonesty in the
representation of their skills.
Analysis of cyber-bullying issues in terms of their impact on business and society
Cyber bullying is a phenomenon that is generally not assigned in for the representation of
the attacks that happen on large corporations. However, in the recent times, the wrath of the
malicious hackers of over the web is also witnessed by the big companies in the same manner as
the individual victims. There have been reports about the culturally influential corporations of
Starbucks and DC Comics to have fallen victim to cyber bullies.
Cyber Bullying in Starbucks: The organization of Starbucks had opted for the new
campaign of “Race Together” but due to its dealing with the delicate subject of the different
races of people, which is a socially charged subject, the campaign had witnessed a failure. As a
result, this has been the starting point of various cyber bullies who took this opportunity to troll
the organization online using abusive hatred messages on the coffee giant organization [4]. The
bullying had gone to such an extent that this had initiated the organization to temporarily
deactivate its twitter account as they revealed that the online bullying had made them feel
victimized and cascaded in negativity. Deactivating the social media accounts also had to make
them lose the online base of followers.

The #DeleteUber Movement: The CEO of Uber had association with the Trump
administration. This was the reason why the organization received a lot of hatred on the internet
and the online bullying was initiated with the growing online outrage of generating the trending
of the hashtag #DeleteUber. Every misstep had caused a member to ditch the app and
subsequently the organization lost a lot of considerable number of customers.
Evaluation of the issues
Evaluating the issues it can be said that the online bullying in case of various
organization harms them in a major way. The trend in the recent times regarding the social media
networks works both as an advantage as well as a disadvantage in case of the business
organizations. The online platforms are used to gain more and more customers due to its
unrestricted reach [5]. However, this acts as a disadvantage when the same platform and the
people using them come together to bully the business via online social media sites. This has a
power to influence the other people utilizing the same social media websites and thus negative
impact on the business prevails. This makes the businesses lose customers and be bullied online
just like the offline bullying of an individual.
Justification of evaluation
The evaluation is well justified with the help of the constitutional laws set by the ACS
codes of Ethics which defines the misuse of the internet to bully any individual or the people
within an organization is not lawful [6]. The ways by which each of the laws describes the
violation of the laws justifies that cyber bullying should not be entertained and there should be
effective security policies applied by the people for individual use of the internet to stop the
attackers from barging into their networks.
