INTRODUCTION
Illness relating to mental state is referred to as cause which creates disturbance from mild
level to severe level within the behaviour of the thinking of the person, it is a problem which
results to inability of incapacity of the person to maintain its normal life. Therefore, mental
illness can also be defined as psychiatric disorder. Additionally, the medicines and drugs cannot
remove this problem of mental illness but helps a little in coping up with the problem
The present report is based on topic as ethical issues of medication by registered
psychiatric Nurse for mental illness. Henceforth, information in assignment will be based on
three articles that aids to enhance knowledge about the impact of drugs medication on psychiatric
individual.

Article 1: Electroshock, and the Psycho-pharmaceutical Complex
The present article stated that these drugs use often knows that these drugs impacts the
user mentally as well as emotionally. Therefore, medication emotional feelings, feelings and
something other than drug. The widespread use of psychiatric drugs are justified by the idea that
work by correcting or helping to correct and this also underlying biological abnormalities that
produce psychiatric symptoms (Anderson and Currie, 2009). Thus, excessive use of drugs in
medication impact the memory of person and this affects an individual to both physically and
mentally level.
Additionally, electroshock therapy is a procedure and this is kind of treatments in which
without anaesthesia high dose of electricity were administered. As a result of this it may lead to
fractured bones, memory loss and also can put different side effects which can be dangerous.
Therefore, this also considered as one of the fastest technique that relive the symptoms in
servery depressed or suicidal patients. Henceforth, this is also very effective for the patients who
suffers from mania or number of the other mental illness.
Article 2: In case of crime, suicide and violence the crucial role of psychiatric drug
Medication madness reads like medical thriller, true crime story. Therefore, the lives of
children and adults in these stories as well as the lives of their families and victims were thrown.
There are many categories of medicines and drugs which are having dangerous effect on the
lives of families and victims (Breggin, 2008). Thus, psychiatric drugs can lead to have bad
impact on people in form as mania, depression, suicide, loss of self control and psychosis.

Excessive use of the drugs can have deform the way of thinking and feeling. From the article, it
has been stated that medication of mental illness raises and examines the issues surroundings the

However, this has been stated that psychiatric drugs have more negative impact on health
of an individual. Use of the antidepressants and dementia drugs needs to be virtually stopped
without causing harms. Therefore, it has also been concluded that the drugs can cause the brain
damage. Additionally, psychiatric rehabilitation is one of the key component in the treatment of
the mental health disorder.
Article 3: What people need to know about psychiatric drugs Victoria.
The present articles has stated that psychiatric drugs are prescribed to treat wide range of
mental health issues and this has significant impairment over the health functioning. In order to
cope up, medical professional uses drug in medication that works as to changing or balancing the
amount of chemicals in brain that called as neurotransmitters.
Thus, side effects of drugs may be inclusive of drowsiness, restlessness, dry mouth,
tremor etc. To establish a diagnosis and formulation about the individual problems and to create

can assist patients to minimize the cravings and to maintain abstinence from the addictive
ingredient in medicines.
Therefore, patients needs to give medication that has made with low substances of drugs.
From the above study, it has been clarified that psychiatric drugs can also cause permanent brain
damage. Thus, at rehabilitation centres patients used to given drug medication that aids to have
reduction in psychiatric symptoms. However, the main aim of psychiatric rehabilitation is to
assist disables individuals to develop the emotional, social and intellectual skills.

Hence, it can be concluded that mental illness and psychiatric disorder is mental patterns
that cause huge impact on personal functioning. The present report is based on ethical issues
around medications and their administration by Registered Psychiatric Nurse at the rehabilitation
centres. However, assignment has covered three links that can aids to identify the issues
regarding medication of drugs.
