Learning Outcome 1.1 & Learning Outcome 1.2
Critical reflection over incident that influenced decision to be a nurse.
Last week situation has presented an idea under me to study nursing. My position under
maternity theatre was as a professional and there I experienced with a situation where a lady was
admitted under to give birth to a baby. She was facing with lot of pain and complications because
she already possesses with medical or health issues. According to my observation, immediately
gynaecologist rushed towards patient and checked her nerves as well as blood pressure.
Ultimately she said that life of both mother and baby is in danger. They underwent ceasirian
section immediately (Alligood, 2014). At the same time every specialists medical professionals
and team of nurses gathered together. They initiated a team work and with lot of efficiency they
safely delivered a baby and also assured the life of mother within 7 minutes.
Perhaps in my perception such team building activity has made me so glad and this
influenced my decision to divert towards nursing field. The conversations among nurses and
doctors were so effective and efficient that it has conveyed corrective actions and ideas to
resolve every issues and has allotted patients with possible care and security. I realised tha team
building activities or skills would initiate the quality work and will provide best services to
affected patients by ensuring their safety. Secondly I thought that this would enhance morale of
themselves and their families. We could conclude that it is the best way to eradicate obstacles
and hurdles for long run and aids in providing the best possible treatment (Turning a critical
incident into topic. 2017).
Learning Outcome 1.3
Critical reflection regarding usage of GTS skills in future career as a nurse.
Above study has made me analyse that adoption of GTS skills are very much effective in
enhancing personal development, communication, decision making, learning etc. This will
encourage me in gathering information which can reduce stress level and can attain skilful
nursing intervention (Hockenberry and Wilson, 2014). Maternity operations creates several
complex issues and risk factors that need to be effectively cope up with. However, by acquiring
team working skills, effective communication and learning skills can enhance an individual
abilities and knowledge towards their working environment.

Perhaps I realized that diverting my career into nursing will require me to adopt such
skills in regard to provide effective services to the affected personnel (Alzayyat and Al‐Gamal,
2014). It will even encourage me in understanding issues of consumers and takers corrective
actions to resolve them. Effective communication, team work and learning skills will develop my
skills in performing post graduate level studies under nursing field.
Moreover, I have identified that GTS skills have enhanced my communication skills by
which I can easily communicate among patients and co-workers. I can build an effective team
and will deliver best services among patients to develop their morale and trust among health care
center. We can conclude that developing GTS skills can reduce stress and miscommunications
among users, service providers, carers and family members (The development of an essential
skill for nursing students. 2017).
Learning Outcome 2
Portfolio of Evidence (2.1-2.7)
As I have observed that ā€œ A review of the literature regarding stress among nursing
students during their clinical educationā€. In the literature researcher has clarified that clinical
students go through high stress. For this scholar has used keywords stress, nursing education,
clinical education etc. But there are many other areas which can be included in this study
because these factors also increase pressure of medical learner such as culture, communication,
technology etc. I have identified that other authors have considered these aspects in their report.
Perhaps this this study has been conducted for themes which are initial clinical
experience, comparison between academic years, cross culture and eustress aspects. Use of
thematic approach is great tool in the research project because it supports in presenting the
information in effective manner.
I have realized that present nursing article is based on the qualitative study which has
supported in designing themes and develop understanding about each aspect related to nursing
students experience. With the help of qualitative method scholar has collect data about initial
clinical experience, comparison between academic years. The nursing article of A review of the
literature regarding stress among nursing students during their clinical education is based on the
qualitative study (Billings and Halstead, 2015). Researcher has used earlier published articles

between 2002 to 2013 in order to develop understanding about the subject matter. Scholar has
also included university library catalogue in order to identify nursing students experience.
On other hand, I wuld suggest that use of SPSS is far better than thematic because use of
statistical data can be beneficial in getting realistic information about number of students who
have taken admission in the nursing and people who are suffering from stress. Use of qualitative
approach is appropriate for the present article because in this scholar has to identify
psychological experience of nursing students which can be known through qualitative study. But
qualitative approach is not enough to get the valid results because by using statistical tool scholar
get identify stress level of nursing students effectively.
Further, it has been reflected that in the present nursing article use of qualitative
technique is considered as more effective. With the help of this qualitative study scholar has
become able to gather information about the stress level, psychological condition of nursing
students. Use of descriptive research design has supported in knowing the facts and by this way
scholar has conducted the study in systematic manner.
In the article of A review of the literature regarding stress among nursing students during
their clinical education, scholar has used the secondary source of data collection. Investigator has
used books and journals of other authors which was written between 2002 to 2013 on the same
topic. Use of these secondary sources has helped in collecting in-depth information about the
experience of nursing students (Moorhead and et.al, 2014). But use of primary data collection
sources can support in getting realistic information. By adopting such strategy I was able to draw
valid conclusion on stress level of nursing students in the medical field.
Furthermore, In the nursing articles A review of the literature regarding stress among
nursing students during their clinical education, researcher has used the descriptive research
design. Through this scholar has become able to rigour systematic search on the topic, it has
helped in getting psychological information about nursing students. On other hand it can be
critically argued that experimental design can be effective in this respect because by this way
scholar can get to know about experience of various students during their nursing studies (A
review of the literature regarding stress among nursing students during their clinical education,
2014).

Learning Outcome 3
Critical reflection on ethical issues relating with inter-professional team working.
I have observed that several inter-professional issues are majorly identified under health
care center such as confidentiality, discrimination, justice, respect etc. Such issues need to be
eradicated by ensuring the needs and wants of every persons. Perhaps I felt that team work often
benefits health care users or patients in eradicating every conflicts and obstacles that are
prevailing under health care centre. On the other hand, I identified that discrimination is the
major issue that has been occurring under hospitals (Holloway and Galvin, 2016). These are
conducted over caste, creed, sex etc. which needs to be eradicated by ensuring equality between
every individuals. Such issues can be overcome by effectively forming the teams and
coordinating among care services, service users and carers can easily mange effectiveness and
minimize death rate under hospitals.
Further, I have realized that effective communication among cowoprkers and patients are
very crucial top be adopted because such frameworks develop positive attitudes among public
and also integrates effective services on a timely manner which reduces risks and threats of an
individual livelihood. Working under teams would diminish several ethical issues such as
division of labour, medical dominance, professional divisions and many others. Therefore, team
work also reduces cultural barriers related to language, identity, inter professional variation,
training's etc.
By considering a group of individual, it has been noticed that working under teams also
encourages competitiveness and comparison among each other which results in conflicts and
divisions. These situations create disloyalty and establishes barriers among relations (Morton and
et.al, 2017). Further, it has been reflected that under every emergency situations under hospital it
requires possible equipments or carers such as ambulances etc. immediate availability of such
vehicles are beneficial in resolving problems and therefore eradicates ethical issues between
inter-professional persons and creates sound environment.
Similarly, we can conclude that team building attitudes under nurses and doctors has
further changed my perception and I diverted my profession from MBA to nursing field. Thus,
inter professional team working reduces care services, service users and carers every conflicts or
issues and establish friendly relations among them (Inter professionalism and ethics, 2017).
