Reflective Writing on the Different Ethical Issues and Discussion of Scenario Related to
Ethical Issues
There were different types of challenges which was faced by me during the process of
placement-based project. The emphasis is being provided to the organization which provides
employment to the individuals with both intellectual and mental disability. I feel that I am
committed towards social justice and human rights and the AASW code of ethics prompted
me in advocating for the social justice and social policy. Furthermore, I have the entire
responsibility to create fair and just society by advocating for the respective policies as this
assisted in advocating the different kinds of rights for the groups, communities and
individuals.
As a student with a profound work experience, I feel that I am committed towards the
organization by following the different kinds of policies and procedures each and every time.
With the respective type of work experience, I am professional in delivering the great service
every time wherein I tried to treat the disabled people with warmth, respect along with
dignity. Moreover, in the professional life, I try to listen to the different objectives which is
required in order to analyze the important aspects for the individuals with disability.
During the employment period, I tried to provide a safe and secured working
environment. However, on the other hand this can be seen that there are various kinds of
ethical issues which was faced by me during the placement project such as I had to follow the
various kinds of organizational policies and procedures each and every time in which this was
inclusive of the various kinds of ethical issues. For instance- In order to achieve the
objectives, the main ethical issue which was faced by me was relating to the clients who were
not comfortable in sharing the different kinds of information as they were worried about the

privacy along with confidentiality of the customers and organizations. This kind of situation
was faced by me while dealing with the employment consultant.
I tried to share the respective details to the field educator along with external
supervisor relating to the topic. These are the different aspects which were the ethical issues
faced by me and this affected the research goals in the organization. As per the code of ethics
along with the different organizational policies, I tried to be committed towards the privacy
of the rights of the individuals. While performing the entire project, I had the duty to collect
the different kinds of information relating to the customers, organizations along with the
projects. However, the supervisor was concerned about the confidentiality of the privacy of
the different information.
However, it is my duty of confidentiality as I do not rent, sell or disclose any kind of
trade information which will be collected by me. I tried to inform my supervisor wherein I
tried to follow the different organizational policies and procedures and use the different data
for the academic purposes. Additionally, when I reflect on the social work project, I tried to
be committed towards professional values for social justice along with professional kind of
integrity. I tried to reflect on the ethical responsibilities to the workplace, customers and
colleagues and tried building trust towards confidentiality and privacy of the personal
information which were shared by the customers.
As the social work researcher, I tried to consider the various types of risks which are
being associated with sharing the information which are confidential in nature and there
would be no such leak of information. Finally, as the researcher along with learner
supervision, this was essential in nature to improve the skills along with knowledge for the
progress of the project in an effective manner. The clarifications along with instructions of

the professor along with external supervisor helped me in clarifying the critical issues during
the research which was conducted by me.
