INTRODUCTION
This study will present views over ethical dilemma in social policy to drive significant
aspect for informing group. It would be discussing surrounding key issues in same way and
execute some legislation and norms aligned with social policy. Apart from that it will cover
various perspective for ethical dilemma. On the other hand, in reflective log it would be
analysing all such aspects briefly and providing outcomes for the study to be more lucrative.

Short statement on ethical dilemma
Ethical dilemma refers to problem in decision-making process among two possible options,
as such neither of which is absolutely acceptable from an ethical perspective. Ethical dilemma in
social policy should be considered specifically for recognizing the difference in personal value in
significant way. Each and every individual has different value set and such differentiation is
affected by their culture, life experiences and multiple range of influencing factors. As per the
statement it is essential to respect people valuable aspects and their social policy to build positive
impact in their concern (Bonnemains, Saurel and Tessier, 2018).
Person 1 - What are the key issues in surrounding your ethical dilemma?
Person 2 – There are several issues being introduced in this dilemma related to social policy in
which clients requires type of assistance which conflict with social worker personal moral
concerns. For example, it can be stated that pregnant client asks for her anti-abortion social
worker for aid in obtaining an abortion. In such situation worker might feel torn for catering type
of service as requested and further maintaining positive relations. In my personal opinion it
should be encouraged more for client to select adequate alternative.
Person 1 – How legislation and policies relate to your ethical dilemma?
Person 2 – The legislation and other norms are in direct contact with several social values as
forming up direct expression for the same or serving into more indirect methods. Ethics are
principles for moral values as individual establish for one self or it can be for personal behaviour.
Law and norms generally state the goal to ensure that each and every one in society living with

peace and much away from conflict. The social policies cover all the aspect concerned with
human acts like social justice, balance, development, integration etc (Hailes and et.al., 2021).
Person 1 – What are the various perspectives on ethical dilemma?
Person 2 - The perspective of in this stage indicates that values are person's beliefs which
usually motivate them to act accordingly with others. I observed that it serves as guidance
towards human behaviour, people are susceptible to adopt with core values form which they are
raised. The ethical dilemma like difference in personal values can be stated as correct form due
to such values for their particular culture. Individual difference forms accessibility to understand
not about similarity but also discussed about form of difference among them. Although, by
getting in touch with variations which might occur from one person to another it would be easier
to interpret wider range of human behaviours (Diallo, Shults and Wildman, 2021).

1.1 Defining term ethics with three examples
Ethics is defined as the well-founded standards of right and wrong human behaviour. This
is usually in terms of rights, obligations and benefits to the society at large scale. This helps in
creating value as to how effectively and in significant manner the individual is concerned about
following the ethics which is defined within the social norms and behaviour of the humans. It
helps in analysing the specific virtues regarding the aspects related to addressing how effectively
and in proper manner the norms and regulations are being followed by the individuals of the
society at large scale. It concerns the matter of values and helps in addressing how effectively
and in appropriate manner there are concerns regarding the ethics to be followed at large scale.
This is what is defined within the term ethics (Cribb, 2020).
There are three examples which I am defining here and mentioning as – treating other
people with kindness, respecting the decisions of other individuals and lastly virtues of honesty
and compassion at large scale. Therefore, these are the concerns related to what is meant by
ethics.

1.2 What was main ethical dilemma and statement given in the video
The main ethical dilemma which I had identified within the social policy was –
“Differences in Personal Values”. This was the major dilemma which I identified and this
helped me in knowing that I was able to identify and analyse the aspects related to differences
which are identified in the personal values of the different persons which are there within the
society. I have also found out that there is occurrence of different perspectives and personal
values which is being identified for the individuals living with the society. While taking into
consideration the ethical dilemma, I have identified that the differences in the personal values
impact the society and this creates differences among the individuals and other people living
within the society (Gold, 2019).
The statement which was given in the video was concerning the concept of ethical
dilemma which was explained on the basis of different cultures, values, traditions in the society.
I have identified and have explained this in perspective of difference in the personal values. I
have also mentioned and drawn some conversation between the two people which have
explained the ethical dilemma in more appropriate manner.
2.1 Discussing laws and policies surrounding the dilemma
There are different laws and policies which I am explaining here and these are mentioned
as –
 Following of rules and regulations related to personal values which are to be played
importance at.
 Consideration of the personal values and accepting the difference between the
perceptions of the people living within the society appropriately.
 Rejection of unfairness and an insistence on essential equality which is framed within the
society at large scale (Kaźmierska, 2018).
I have also identified that there are different policies regarding the ethical dilemma and this
concerns the stoppage to the difference in personal values which are being identified below –
 All the perceptions and values should be framed by keeping in mind the different values,
behaviour and culture of the individuals.
 All the people should be aware of the new policies which are framed within the society.
 There should be respect for people’s rights, dignity and diversity in appropriate manner.

These are some major laws and policies regarding the dilemma which is difference in personal
values. I have thus, identified and gathered this information regarding the ethical dilemma.
3.1 Different views on ethical dilemma
It has been discussed from the above information that difference in the personal values has
been identified as ethical dilemma within the framing of social policy. There are different
perceptions which are being analysed and I have encountered within the society as there are
different people living within the society. The social policy should be framed in such manner that
the sentiments of people living within the society is not affected. There are aspects related to
considering the individual culture, personal upbringing life experiences, behaviour and other
influences which are there while living in the society (Šubrt, 2019).
Ethical dilemma as per my opinion has been identified as – the situations in which there
are two conflicting moral requirements which are mentioned at large scale while living within
the society at large scale. I have also analysed that there is difference in personal values as
people have different background, culture and behaviour which is being identified at large scale.
It has been also discussed that ethical dilemma is one of the major concerns regarding the
difference in personal values at large scale while living within the society.
3.2 Different views encountered
There are different views which have been encountered by me while analysing that there
are various opinions and concerns regarding the ethical dilemma at large scale. It helps in
knowing the concerns regarding the difference in the personal values which is related to
accepting more of the perspectives and behaviour, values, tradition, culture at large scale
(Krzyminiewska, 2020). There are concerns regarding the perceptions of how the social policy
should be framed so that the individuals are respected and are treated equally within the society.
I have analysed that there are concerns regarding the values and difference in the opinions and
understanding of the individuals at large scale. This is the final view that has been identified and
is analysed by addressing the concerns related to how the individuals are being respected within
the society.

CONCLUSION
Thus, it is concluded from the above report that ethical dilemma has been explained
appropriately and in significant manner. Ethics term has been defined with the help of three
examples which have been explained appropriately. Different laws, procedures and policies have
been discussed in appropriate manner. The ethical dilemma which has been identified and
discussed within the report is difference in personal values. There has been explanation of
different perspectives which are related to having the concerns regarding the difference in
personal values related to social policy in effective and efficient manner. This is the major
concern which is related to addressing the ethical dilemma.
