Ethical leadership and critical decision in Canada
Ethical leadership is directed by respect for values and ethical beliefs to maintain the
dignity of others. This concept is related to honesty, fairness, charisma, and consideration.
Justin Pierre James Trudeau is a Canadian politician who supports liberalisation and social
justice. However, it is seen that James Trudeau forced the government officials in an
unethical manner so that they can help the MNCs to stay apart from the bribery cases and
close their cases. After some time, when the elections approached the biggest dramatic crisis
was when his suffered a tough fight among his liberals. In this way, other leaders demanded
resignation because of unethical aspects supported by the James Trudeau. For example- the
organisation with $10 billion revenues and 50000 employees were threatened to leave if
criminal charges are not being dropped to the unethical practises (Nieweler, 2015).
In order to consider and assess the ethical perception of the leaders, its turn out to be
that Canadians are not very much satisfied with the ethical behaviour of political leaders of
Canada. Country leaders plays a crucial role from the part of leaders that aims to achieve the
happiness of people living in the state. According to ethical behaviour and critical
behavioural style, a leader may not be very much educated and experienced but he should be
well acquaint with sensitive behaviour and compassion to the issues faced by the public.
National leaders should permit a considerable transparency in the governance of the country.
In a survey, it is observed that one-third of the Canadians are satisfied with the ethical
behaviour of the leaders. Canadians often reject the idea that their government is entirely
based on unethical values. Whereas, a majority of people believe that politics is a dirty game
that traps unethical behaviour. 72% of the respondents believe that they are partially or fully
pressurised to create unethical campaign promises that contributes unethical leadership.
Perception of people strongly rely on that political leaders often affect the voting behaviour.
