10 things that were noticed to be unethical, immoral, and/or illegal along with who did
them
There are several incidences in the episode that are immoral in a way or unethical or even
illegal such as the scene where rats are being experimented upon for cancer or even the
incidence of illegal entry of doctors in the premises, especially Dr. Cameron in Dr. Ezra’s
laboratory for collecting evidences or any information that can be experimented upon without
any prior permission. The first Unethical thing that takes place is rearing of rats in a
laboratory for experimental purposes by Dr. Ezra Powel also another immoral task is when
experiments are carried out in this case as Dr. Ezra Powell is seen injecting the mouse. Apart
from this, another scene similar to this is Dr. Ezra Powell is admitted to the hospital, his
condition worsens and he refuses to carry out with the procedure.
Now this is an act that is immoral to oneself as everyone has the right to survive and it is the
ethical thing to do also Dr. Ezra refuses for the treatment, Dr. Greg House is quite adamant
on providing treatment to Dr. Ezra for his personal gains as Dr. Ezra is someone very
important to him, he forces Dr. Ezra to get treated despite the patient’s unwillingness. The
next unethical thing here occurred that, since Dr. Erza collapsed, the doctors were unable to
figure out the main disease or issue with his body, yet treatment was being carried out. An
illegal task happened when all doctors entered the premises of Dr. Ezra as in his laboratory
and carried out various experiments on the data that was obtained without any permit to do so
from the party as well as the authorities. The plea made by Dr. Ezra of dying in peace is
rejected by Dr. House and yet a full -fledged treatment is carried out. Apart from this,
evidence is also collected from Dr. Ezra’s body such as urine samples and blood samples by
the doctors, specifically by Dr. Eric Foreman. There is another immoral as well as inhumane

incident that is mentioned in the episode by Dr. Allison Cameron where radioactive agents
are inserted in new born babies by Dr. Ezra for experimenting on them.
9: Even after Dr. Ezra’s death, Dr. House keeps on working over the dead body of Dr. Ezra
trying to bring him back to life by hook or by crook. In the end, Dr. Allison Cameron nor
does Dr. House or any other doctor present reveal the real time of Dr. Ezra’s death, all they
state is half an hour after the actual time of death which is again an unethical thing to do
(House MD Season 3/Episode 3 Informed Consent, 2006).
