In the modern world, the use of the Internet of tings have become one of the most
common thing. The use of the IoT have helped the businesses in many sectors. Businesses
have flourished in many of the easy with the use of the IoT. With the use of the internet the
businesses have been helped in many ways, like increase in the customers’ numbers
(Popescul, & Georgescu, 2014). Yet there some of the major ethical and legal issues that are
related to with grow of the amount of the internet of things. This paper focuses on the facts
about how the use of the Internet have reduces the security related to the customers. Also the
major ethical and the legal considerations are considered to the scenario.
One of the major ethical problem that have been faced by many of the businesses is he
database design flaw. The database design flaw comes when the data from the databases are
leaked due to the faults of the vendors (Borgia, 2014). Irresponsible vendor is one of the
major problem for majority of the businesses. This leads to the problems like the leak of the
personal data of the customers and sensitive data related to the businesses. As, the internet of
things connects many of the sectors together, hence if there is any data loss then if effects all
the sectors. One of the other major thing that is often found is selling of the data without the
consent of the business vendors’. One of the other major ethical issues is the advertisements,
this is one of the other major thing that is often found.
The legal crimes and issues that are related to the use Internet of thing in business are
stealing of the intellectual properties, cybercrime related issues. Liability of the providers,
data protections and privacy issues (Baldini et al., 2018). It can be seen that in the modern
world everything is connected with the internet, form the smartphones that are being used to
the homes. With the use of the IOT one way iss that the divergent can keep an eye on
everything, hence the privacy of the user comes to zero. This is one of the major ethical
issues as well as the legal concern for the normal citizens and the business (Li, Tryfonas &
Li, 2016). Other than this the cybercrimes are the major concern for the businesses in the

world. With the increase in the technology it is seen that the amount of the cyber security
have also decreased, amount of hacking have been increased.
Thus, it can be said that the internet of things in one hand have helped the businesses
to increase a lot. But on the other hand it is decreasing the amount of the security. There have
been a number of ethical and legal issues related to the internet of things that are needed to be
taken care of. The government of the country must take serious steps in order to reduce such
kinds of the risks.
